The last time we interviewed Don Jr was while his Dad was campaigning to be the 45th President of the United States. Five years later he talked with us again - and he holds nothing back!
Thanks for a great interview. With hopefully is our next President
You guys interacted really well. Great job putting this together. I heard and saw him interact with us at the 2019 P&Y Convention and he is a very important person for our hunting future.
Pure Gold. So many truths told during that interview. Thank you to Pat for forming that relationship and getting these interviews. Hopefully Don gets into a position to help hunters even more than he does already.
I enjoyed the interview. Don Jr. has a way of saying things. Good listen at the gym today. Also I’ve been following Field Ethos Journal they got some good stuff. However to those that were offended by the G5/Bowhunter Mag ad might not be for them.
You ought to do more of these type interviews. I think it would draw more folks to bowsite. One critique more podcast style vs multiple links to a short clip.
Thank you for this interview.
His educated straightforwardness would do so well in a presidential position. He could put down the phone, and pick up the bow instead. Good interview.
Pat, thank you for fostering this relationship between the hunting community and Don Jr. Someone who is without a doubt in a prominent position who could have lasting impacts in our favor. He is spot on that we need to speak as one voice and be unified in our position if we are going to be successful moving forward.
Check out Don Jrs Instagram for probably the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Sorry, don’t know how to link

There is Field Ethos
But the really amazing instasnap page is mine ;)
Don Jr. Would certainly be one of the best presidents we ever had. If he’d do it. After watching what his dad did, I don’t know that he would. But, I don’t think the Trump family has a lot of run in them. So, he’s liable to do it out of spite. Man I hope.
Big thumbs up Pat!!
Now when can we expect the Hunter Biden interview?
Great interview, Pat. Agreed, I think Jr. would make a great president, as well. I’d love to see him tangle with the socialist libs in congress, as well as the spineless RHINOS, too!
Great Pat. I like Don jr and he made me like his dad early in 2016. Thanks!
I thought it was a good interview in that it covered a few areas of interest from outdoors activities, politics and family.
I was thinking what questions would have been interesting ones to ask if I was asked to come up with some prospective topics. I could see him considering running for a political office someday. With that in mind......
Don....
.....If you become the President or any held any other political office, would you still hunt and fish as much as you do now? (A set-up question for the rest of the questions)
......Would you fight to open up and/or ease restrictions on more federal lands and waters to allow outdoor activities?
......What conservation initiatives would you consider starting to protect the land and waters and promote our renewable resources?
......What actions, if any....... would you take to reign in the escalating cost of hunting and fishing licenses and tags?
......Would you consider starting a nationwide, federal advisory board of individuals from each state to study ways and initiatives to promote outdoor activities geared towards young people such as conservation, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.
......My softball question. What are Kimberley's measurements? (Seeing who is paying attention)
Fantastic interview! Enjoyed every moment. More of these please. How about an interview with Randy Newberg, Clay Hayes, Joel Turner, or Tom Clum? I’d be happy to hear from Aron Snyder on here again lol.
I could get behind Jr. for President…..and Candace Owens as VP!
...and I think I'm busy...
Very good interview. I definitely think Donald Trump Jr should throw his hat in for President.
Very nice interview Pat, good job. Maybe for your next interview you could interview Erik, he's a hunter and does great work with st Jude's, would be interesting.
Does anyone know if he is a member of, or visits Bowsite?
Outstanding interview. Don seems like a true family man, a dedicated conservationist, has a passion for our country and a strong grip on reality. So glad he can find his way outdoors to escape society and the lunacy of this world.
JL,
He has been registered here for years. Long before his father ran for president. He told me he used to visit both Bowsite and the leatherwall regularly. He’s also big into trad. Very hardcore and multifaceted hunter.
Yep, what Pat said. Don used to post here on a regular basis but haven’t seen him on here much (if at all) since his Father became President. I guess he’s a bit busy ;-). Awesome interview. DJT JR is a bad ass! Pat, Thanks for posting it up. And thank you Don for being a strong advocate for the hunting and fishing community.
Thanks Pat. I'm glad to see he is into any type of hunting and fishing regardless of weapon or location. He reminds me of a Ted Nugent kind of personality when it comes to the outdoors.
Sorry, don't have time to listen to anybody that promotes political violence and spreads lies and conspiracy theories. The only place that Don Jr should be is in a prison cell next to his father.
Hey shooter Don Jr. Just posted this on Instagram I think he posted it for you…
Don jr would have the good instincts of his father without the drama
Great interview!! Thanks Pat.
People need to pay attention. IF we lose hunting as a recreational activity, we will only have ourselves to blame...
and I think I'm busy...
Not to busy to post?
I enjoyed the interview and also enjoyed the pictures that came with the interview.
Thanks for the interview. Speaking of people that should be in prison, look to the present administration
Great interview. He should run for president.
Hunter Bden interview is being delayed….. Pat can't decide which painting to purchase.
I was thinking some more on interviews. Anyway Jr could arrange an interview with Sr? While we're in the down time on political elections.....this could be a good time to discuss outdoors, conservation and 2A issues with the possible next Prez.
i would like to see Donald Jr run but I expect we would have another crisis if he ran...more mail in ballots
I'm not sure Sr is running again. I don't see Jr running anytime soon. Sr is making a lot of motions, but can't come out and say yet. I'd like to see who the other Repub folks are that might be/will be running for the next Prez. IMO....it's easier to list who I DO NOT want to see running for Prez in 2024......Kasich, Flake, Cheney, Jeb, Romney, etc.
As long as we have unverified mail in voting it won't matter. The Democrats will continue to "win" any election of significance. Vote not going their way? No problem...just stop the count until they make up enough votes to win! Just like this past November. Works like a charm, especially when you have the "media" on your side, and enough brain dead chumps on the other that will believe all the bull***t you serve them without question.
I see these elections like a baseball or football game. Score enough runs or points so the umps and refs will never decide the outcome of a game via a muffed/missed call.
Your guy/gal needs to get enough votes well ahead of the competition so an election is not decided by the media, judges and lawyers.
X2! And especially ANY lawyer/judge that's a Democrat!
I've lived in northern Illinois for the past 45 years, and know firsthand what the Democrat political SCUM we have here is like. And now it's on the federal level.
WW - I don't believe the dems will be able to walk away with another "victory" like last year ever again...
I pray that you're right! Ain't holding my breath though.......
Great interview! I especially liked the comment about eating wild testicles to prove and justify you use every piece of meat. If you're into that fine, I trim my game meat, ain't into organ meats and heck the coyotes, beetles and magpies need to eat too:)
He seems very down to earth that you wouldn't expect from a kid growing up in a wealthy family in New York City, wow!
Mike
^....I took that away too. He seemed like a regular guy. He is smart enough to know how the political smear games are played. I sensed if he were to be in a political office, he could handle himself well dealing with a hostile, "gotcha" media frenzy that would surely follow him.
Really enjoyed the interview. Thank you Don, for taking the time, and thanks for bringing it to us Pat.
good interview. question umber 6..."in 2021, can you be a hunter and still support he democrat party?" should make a lot of people think.
Seems to be the MyPillow Guy of the outdoor world now. I just don't get it.
Pat… thanks for a great interview. And agree totally with his statement, “if your a hunter or outdoor enthusiast, you should never for a Democrat.” And, we also need to quit being defensive because we hunt. We, as hunters, have let the liberals dictate policy for way too long.

That was an incredible interview. I always had a lot of respect for him and his brother. They seem like such "normal" people...... And they love their Dad, so that says something for them, and their Dad. The abject failure that we have in the White House and all the cronies in D.C. need to be sent packing. I'd vote for Don Jr.... In a heartbeat.
I sent Don a link to this thread yesterday. He was curious what the response was?
I told him the reaction here would be far different than his social media accounts!
Great interview! He is a real deal outdoorsman. I don't know why he bother with it, but he'd get my vote for POTUS!
Amazing interview and I'm glad he's on our side! I'd love to go on a hunt with that man!
Amazing Interview!! A true voice of reason and common sense!!
Nice to have public figures that are pro hunting. Don't see that much these days
Great interview. I like him!
I really like the way he thinks. Thanks Pat for the interview, and thanks to Don for taking the time to do it!!!
Great interview. He's just another bowhunter/hunter who I'd like to meet and shake hands with. Fits right in on Bowsite.
I couldn't help but think Pat had a few Bowsite handles on the tip of his tongue when explaining to Don that we had Bowlibs.
Well.... he was right again... we did find a 1% delutional psycho....
Great interview. Well done. Very insightful. Great message. Thanks much to Pat and Don Jr.
Great interview, and he seems like a good guy!
As a Canadian, I wish we had someone like him here.
Donald Trump Jr. (43) and Trudeau (49) both in their forties - and totally polar opposites in absolutely every way there is.
Well done interview, I enjoyed it.
I listened carefully but I missed the questions and his answers about the 11 million acres of federal lands that were leased to private oil and gas and mineral extraction interests during the Trump Presidency and removed from hunting and fishing access. I missed the questions and his answers about the hunting-accessible Wilderness areas that were removed from Wilderness protection and offered for sale to private interests. In the area of filed ethos and ethics, I missed his comments about the more than 40 federal ethics investigations into the conduct of top officials in the Department of Interior that is responsible for federal lands, including EVERY oil and mineral extraction lobbyist who served as Secretary or Acting Secretary of the Interior during the Trump Administration . I missed the part about the last time DJT, Jr. pulled his truck into a farmer's driveway to ask permission to hunt, found himself 50 yards from some other hunter in a stand when the sun came up or was called by a buddy after dark to help find a wounded animal. Other than that, it was EXACTLY what I would have expected in an interview of a guy who never had to look for a job in his life, never had to work double-shifts for months so he could send a kid to summer camp or pay for community college, much less take a week off to go hunting, and seems to have unlimited, unquestioned access to any hunting license, permit ,hunting area on Earth, even if the paperwork is applied for AFTER the animal is on the ground.
manbungoat
i missed all that too
i hate djt, djt jr, and pat now
much better off with hunter and his folk, real deal workaday types
Keep voting Democrat and we wont have to worry...we wont be able to hunt at all
Instead of the usual bashing that guys who aren’t in lockstep with the BS narrative get, I’d like to see someone address the issues that Mangonboat brought up in a civil and respectful manner. Yeah, I know I’m dreaming…
Carry on.
Matt
the subject of the thread and the target of manbun's ire has access and has been invited to review this topic
anything other than his own words in response have nothing to do with civility or respect
with that said, the biden krew rocks, no more shady stuff with them behind the wheel
grey goat can you do anything but whine? keep dreaming yourself right out of the hunting seasons.
I have heard that Grey Ghost hunts stuff even if paperwork is applied for AFTER the animal is on the ground. Let discuss that in a civil and respectful manner
Yea, leftist Democrats are strong supporters of hunters??
https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2021/3/11/the-biden-administration-s-backdoor-attack-on-hunters
If my father was a billionaire I’d hunt in some pretty good spots too. Who wouldn’t? Assuming you like to hunt.
Leftist dont have a problem with the priviledged...as long as THEY are the privileged
Perhaps JR himself can respond? That would be cool. If not, I get it
Matt
Good interview Pat. The leftey response makes me gag and almost puke every time, never fails.
But John, leftist are always right...even if they have to twist things around. I appreciate that Donald Jr dont apologize for being a hunter
Solid interview- appreciate his willingness to make time for Pat and Bowsite.
He was so good at the Omaha P&Y Convention.
What a blessing to have a man of his social economic status to even hunt. To hunt and love what we love with a bow no less. To take time a bow hunting events, speaking about it and teaching and passing it on to his children. Just a great thing for the outdoorsman of this nation and the pastime we love so dearly.
Funny to hear here on BS comments of the Managoat place upon a non elected, non GVT affiliated citizen and seconded by GG is a travesty of BS. Pat you should take a hard look at guys who support this trash message here. This is not random dissent and it hurts your brand.
Zap agree with the first part of your message. Second part while I to bristle at the comments from some of the posters censorship is a tricky and fickle business. When does it start and stop. We have seen the war against the right on all social platforms and media and its despicable I appreciate Don Jr his stance, takes and his love and support for the hunting community!
Justin, I agree. Like I told my inlaws, they are the opposite of me on politics, I disagree with you but I support your right to speak your opinion. I just pray the policies you support fail..lol
These mods have been censoring People here for long long time along their own personal flavors. Dissent is constructive i would agree but when you attack the very public face of our pastime some targeted and timely adjustments would be helpful. Pat should outta maybe add another Mod with a similar view from the bowhunter side of the fence perhaps.
Great interview, thanks Pat. Seems like he'd just be one of the boys around camp that wouldn't want any special treatment.
One of our local restaurants that recently closed has this on the marquee out front where all the traffic driving by can see it.
Speaking for myself I'd much rather be energy independent than buying oil and gas from countries that celebrated the murder of close to 3,000 Americans 20 years ago.
Pat didn't need to ask the question about federal land being leased and removed from hunting access because that never happened. Oil and gas leases do not remove hunting opportunities. NO federal land was sold to private interests with the exception of much needed land trades to increase access to landlocked areas. It's sad that the most hunter friendly president in our lifetimes is still attacked by those who benefit the most from his actions.
All of you guys bitching about oil and gas extraction need to start walking to your hunts because you are hypocrites of the highest order. Do us all a favor and shut off your gas, water and electricity for a couple of months.
It boggles my mind that we have hunters who support the leftist agenda of taking away our rights and privileges. Like DTJ said, if we don't work together we are doomed.
It's all about the green decoys folks. Pay attention.
“Like DTJ said, if we don't work together we are doomed.“
Yea, cause he was so bipartisan and collaborative. LMAO
Nice try. It really is amazing to me how the haters stretch the truth to fit their 'destroy trump at all cost' agenda. He was clearly talking about hunters supporting each other. And of course you know that, but you couldn't resist.
Pat- you call the crap that some put on your site attacking other hunter’s families as “working together?” And you allow it so spare me your high horse.
There are infinitely better examples of working together besides Trump. It’s on him for picking an oxymoron as an example.

In other Trump matters.....the Durham investigation produces another grand jury indictment for the Trump - Russia collusion hoax. This time a Clinton lawyer. The early intel says there will be more indictments coming. What did Hillary know and did she have knowledge of, and/or push the fake claims??? There is a lot more of the article at the link.
""Durham grand jury indicts lawyer for allegedly lying to FBI, concealing ties to Clinton campaign
Special counsel John Durham logged a second indictment in his investigation of the Trump-Russia investigators on Thursday.
by Jerry Dunleavy, Justice Department Reporter | | September 16, 2021 04:50 PM | Updated Sep 16, 2021, 07:22 PM
A grand jury returned a 26-page indictment charging Michael Sussmann , a lawyer for Perkins Coie who had worked on behalf of Democratic clients numerous times, with intentionally lying to the FBI’s top lawyer in September 2016 about who he was working for when he passed along controversial allegations of secret communications between Russia’s Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization.
“Sussmann lied about the capacity in which he was providing the allegations to the FBI,” the indictment says. “Specifically, Sussmann stated falsely that he was not doing his work on the aforementioned allegations ‘for any client,’ which led the FBI General Counsel to understand that Sussmann was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information, not as a paid advocate or political operative. In fact … this statement was intentionally false and misleading because, in assembling and conveying these allegations, Sussmann acted on behalf of specific clients, namely, a U.S. technology industry executive at a U.S. internet company, and the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign.” ........
......In the closing days of the 2016 race, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeted : “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.” (Edit added: That was knowingly fake and misleading info from Sussmann designed to change public sentiment about then Candidate Trump. Did Hillary know it was fake yet repeated it?)
She also shared a lengthy statement from Jake Sullivan, one of her top advisers and now President Joe Biden's national security adviser.
“This could be the most direct link yet between Donald Trump and Moscow,” Sullivan claimed in the 2016 statement. “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank. This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia ... This line of communication may help explain Trump’s bizarre adoration of Vladimir Putin.”
Sullivan added: “We can only assume that federal authorities will now explore this direct connection between Trump and Russia as part of their existing probe into Russia’s meddling in our elections.” ...........
.........Durham concluded Sussmann "did willfully and knowingly make a materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statement" when he "stated to the general counsel of the FBI that he was not acting on behalf of any client in conveying particular allegations concerning a Presidential candidate, when in truth, and in fact, and as the defendant well knew, he was acting on behalf of specific clients, namely, Tech Executive-1 and the Clinton Campaign.”"
Totally agree, ksflatliner!!!..If I was you, I wouldn’t put up with it any longer! I’d quit frequenting this horrible site, and subjecting yourself to all of the name calling and abuse that so many on here have hurled your direction. You’ll be much better off.
And so will we….
I really want to listen but cannot get it to play on my ipad. What is necessary to do? (By the way, my laptop was highjacked by the Russians.) Thanks!
T-roy- I was raised to think for myself. Sorry if that bothers you. Please note that I have never once start a political thread on Bowsite. But if someone wants to post something that is not factual they should be called out. I have a difference of opinion with some on this site but I will point out these are DISCUSSION threads. You think all bowhunters are in lock step with your opinion or political views then you live in a bubble. Ironically, Pats comment was about working together as hunters and your response was you want one less in the coalition.
By the way, I’ve helped 5 people get their first deer for the last 5 years. Not that it matters but they were all on my private hunting areas. I’ve also taken 2 people elk hunting who had never gone before. I’ve given away one bow and other gear to guys just getting into bowhunting. Lastly, I’ve dedicated my career to wildlife conservation. What have you done in the last 5 years to promote bowhunting?
If Pat thinks I don’t belong here he can ask me to go. It’s his site and I will go if he asks. You on the other hand, go pound sand…snowflake.
Day in and day out a Consistent Jackass.
bipartisan and collaborative!?
ahhhhhh, like your people, i get it now
some here never lack on humor, even with no sense of it
