I have no confidence in Gen Milley at all. I'm hearing news reports many in the military have lost confidence in him too. IMO, he is not fit to continue serving based on his past actions and attitudes.

Just contacting the Chinese in an official manner was a crime. Generals do not make Foreign Policy. Period. If asked or given official permission they may be allowed contact. Generals take orders from their Commander in Chief. Period. Not to decide if it's a good order. They advise, that's it. Going rogue, defying orders or sabotaging orders... at minimum cause for Court Martial. Same as if a lower rank defied or sabotaged one of their orders. Think a President is crazy? I believe congress is the only body that can declare that and there is a legal process.

This is why liberals have no credibility. They have no understanding of Constitution, Military conduct or law, No rules or ethical foundations at all. Right or wrong.....he initiated the AFG pull out, he pulled most of the troops out of Syria where we were fighting and he also pulled most of the troops out of Iraq. All of those places are where we had a long military force presence in. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any country where he sent troops into to fight???

I didn't watch the hearing as I was in the woods most of the day. I just read the post-hearing news articles. In all the stories I read, I didn't see any specific name directing the General to make the October and January calls. That said....he may have been operating under written directives that outline what the CJCS job responsibilities are?? We'll need to hear what Sect Esper and the other guy ( Act-Sect Miller?) have to say about the Gen's testimony. One thing the hearings did bring to the forefront....the General talks too much to people writing books.....five I think it was. I suspect now that his tail feathers have been burnt by his eagerness to get his name in books....he won't be talking to too many book writers in the future.

The afghan withdrawal on the other hand…it sounds like Biden did not take his military advisors advice and then lied about it.

There are 3 people testifying and stating that Prez Biden was told to leave some troops. Prez Biden says he wasn't told "as he can recall". The ball is in Biden's court as I see it. He will have to either continue to claim he was never told and stick with it......or have to fess up, admit/acknowledge he was indeed told and then admit he forgot that highly critical piece of advice that he was told. He loses either way.
