I see plenty of mushrooms in the woods. Have watched deer and squirrels eat them but I am scared to try them. I get mine in the Food Lion.

If it doesnt have a ring on the stem, it could be the honey lookalike, which i have read is deadly poisonous. I read this because i thought i had some honeys popping in my backyard and was going to pick them. But upon going thru the identification steps, the ones in my yard do not have the telltale ring on the stem below the cap. So im leaving them put and not chancing anything
