2021 turned out to be a year that will be tough to ever top. Some of these pics have been shared on bowsite earlier in the year, but there are quite a few that will be making their bowsite debut.

2021 started with using my last tag of 20/21 season during the PA late season.

Trapping season was interrupted by unusually deep snow for our area. We managed a bobcat and couple small critters during the shortened season.

Mid January was time for our 11th annual family and friends pig hunt. Our group killed a bunch of pigs with various weapons and had a great time.

In February the opportunity for a short notice mountain lion hunt came up. With the timing working around a school break, we were headed to WY with Cody set to be the shooter.

We didn't end up treeing a big tom during the hunt. We did a catch and release on this female. We experienced a successful lion hunt only minus the trophy fee and taxidermy bill...this hunt is too be continued, we will be going back

Early summer I made time to work on one of my "someday" projects. Setting up an old jon boat for bowfishing. I had never done any boat work, so after 15 minutes searching the subject online I was qualified as an expert boat builder...a deck and a long tail mud motor and the fish hunting was ready to begin.

Late summer and early fall we did a couple local trail races, Cody was in the middle of high school cross country and I try my best to stay in shape year around. We even brought home some hardwear.

Back from Alberta it was time for PA and NY bow season. With a busy November ahead of me, I decided that I wasn't going to be picky on deer at home. During the season, Cody had some close calls with bucks but only managed to tag a doe.

After returning from Mexico it was a short turn around and we were in the pickup heading to AZ. I had been getting Cody elk points since he was 9. We put in for a late rifle hunt in one of the lower elk density, rough terrain units and he drew one of the few tags available to nonresident. One of his friends with very little hunting experience went with us on the trip. Apparently they both use the same barber that Treeman does...
