Any antlers dropped yet?

I saw 2 bull moose Sunday morning - one had dropped and one still sporting a nice rack.

Technically I saw plenty of mule deer anterless but that was because they never had antlers aka females/does.

I had posted earlier about a buck having dropped one side. Today I saw it with binos at about 12 yards. It was actually broke off about 1/4" above the burr. Lots of broke bucks but no bald ones yet.

All the bucks around my place are still sporting head gear, but it won't be long before they drop.

Starting to shed here in South Dakota. I killed a mature buck I was after Dec 30 that had shed 3 days prior. Made Breakfast sausage out of him.

Saphead, I’m curious why anyone would knowingly shoot a mature buck that had already shed?

I’m not judging you, some guys don’t care about the horns, only the meat. But I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it.

Mule deer in my area still seem to be holding onto their antlers. I keep an eye on one absolute dandy buck in a field by my house every day
