Killed a goat this year and was thinking about having a rug made with the head and hoofs on. Anybody out there have one made? Thoughts? Thanks, Gregg

I am considering a rug for my goat as well. Pictures would be great!

Try Yahoo "images". There are several mountain goat rugs, horns and no horns.

I've seen the pics on google and yahoo images too. Was hoping somebody here had first hand experience in getting one made, and if so, whether they happy with their decision to go rug instead of other mount options.

Gregg,
Here is a photo of my goat rug (9 1/2"). I had planned on getting it mounted 1/2 body standing on a rock. However, I took a straight on shot and hit him high (in the mouth). It split him from his front teeth to his chest, so I had to opt for something else. I really like having it in a rug format now as it is really unique and I know of nobody else that has one.

I have seen several rugs here around Ketchikan ... bot with feet and without (cut off at the pantaloons).
They look good to me both ways.

I've seen a few pictures now and have made up my mind. I'm doing a rug. Looks pretty cool!

Sol,
Look familiar? Sorry for the lousy pic, I took it with my blackberry. Idaho goat from 1994.

Neer posted a picture before so if this works here is a picture of my first bow killed goat that I had done in rug form.

I would take a pass on the white ruffled edges, looks like a table cloth at a pizza joint. In my opinion, rugs don't look very good on the wall. Then angle is always goofy and they take up way too much space.
Hang them over the back of a chair or better yet, in front of the fire place. Stick with a nice 3/4 mount, rugs are for wiping your feet on.
