Happy day, unless you're a turkey! Beautiful cold morning. Got in my tree an hour before legal, just 70 yards from the car. 20 minutes after sunrise another guy pulled up and headed in to hunt a field edge. I'm in a swamp, great trail running through it. This one's easy to get into in the dark. A little later I'm taking the sticks and pushing in to where the bucks live. Good luck all!

Honey said time to come home. Start lowering my stuff, splash, splash, splash through the swamp. Pull my stuff back up and smoked a big bodied 4 point! He fell maybe 25 yards away. Once I stop shaking I'm gonna grab him. Happy freaking thanksgiving!

The drag out was rough, and everyone I know was busy with family, of course. So I swear he's 300 pounds, but realistically id guess undressed around 200 +/- 20 pounds. I'm sore now, gonna hurt tomorrow! But a good hurt!
