I’ve been sitting in a buddies treestand for a couple of days. I passed up the same one horned yearling buck a couple of times, but last night I realized that after hunting in BC for thirty seven seasons, I’d never killed a whitetail here. I don’t hunt them, but always have tag. I’ve killed a few of in Alberta, hunting with family. There had been a real good buck and a young 4X4 passing by this stand. I didn’t want to shoot the yearling because there just isn’t much meat on him.
Fortunately the 2 1/2 year old came first today, so I didn’t have to decide on this last day of the season in my area
My first British Columbia whitetail!
Now I have a few days to get cleaned up and get ready for late season mule deer!!

Thanks guys. Paul, pretty short easy trail. But really his blood in on your hands after posting that liver, onions and bacon pic yesterday!! You can probably guess what I'm eating tomorrow.
