GL guys.
My son and I are in Roxbury, 100 yards apart.
Zero movement, just tree rats.
I think that the bright, full moon has something to do with that..

On the drive in, a nice 8 was standing on the side of the road, at 5:30. About a mile or two from where we are hunting.

Zero movement so far in zone 11. I expect activity between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm when moon is underfoot at 11:47am. Deer go in cycles of 4-6 hours.

Let us know if anything does move at those hours, if you're still there.
I never paid much attention to that..

My friend hunting 100 yards away from me sent an arrow 30 yards through the boiler room on a lone doe today at 1:07pm, as she traveled between bedding and feeding areas. The doe ran 10 yards, stood there for 10 minutes, walked calmly another 10 yards and then died without realizing the Magnus 2 blade BH went through her. The BH is in very good condition after the shot and with minimal strop can be reused for another hunt. I was in my tree about 60 yards away from the doe, witnessing my friend's first archery deer, his excitement (would not shut up relaying hunt details via text messages), and the sense of accomplishment at the end of a long drag. It happened as predicted and according to the observed pattern. The moon is a key component for animal activity, along with weather and human pressure. Thank you to Wild Bill for pointing out in an older thread the importance of moon underfoot position event.
