Roughly how many dozen usable arrows would you say you currently posses
52 arrows for me of which 23 are raw shafts
Couple dozen. Gave away a bunch to a youth archery group last year.
Finished, 4 Dz woods, Aluminums 10-1716s, 2 1/2 dz. 1913s, 1 dz. 2117s, 1dz 2216s, 1 dz 2219s, 1 1/2 dz 2213s. 2 Dz Carbons I just completed to give to my son for hs compound & 1/2 dz 2213s for his Stickbow. I have raw shafts, 18 woods, & roughly 2 dz assorted Carbons, Aluminums to refletch for myself & family. I'm sure there are others someplace. I also have at least 5-600 assorted die cut feather (2"3"4"). Assorted vanes sizes at least 1000. I build all the arrows for myself & family (8 shooting) . I'm always buying things when I see them on sale or a good buy. I know someone can use it.. I also give away things for new shooters, kids or less fortunate. Like older compounds, sights I get at a sale or other accessories. My family rarely needs something I don't already have.
Three to four dozen. Found some Beeman Nightfall’s a few years back and bought a bunch of shafts. Have not bought since and not sure when I will. Gave a few dozen of my previous arrows and a bow to a nephew that’s just getting in to archery.
3 doz between compound and recurve, although I can shoot my recurve arrows through my compound.
4 dozen +- for both compound and recurve.
Four dozen carbon and 4 dozen wood. Also one dozen wood flu-flu's.
A little over two and a half dozen between hog arrows (Axis), and deer arrows (FMJs) finished. A dozen unfinished.
Stockpile.....what stockpile ? You sound like my wife. Just don't say anything about broadheads.
Bowbender, Reminds me of a story. Back in the day when I was doing a lot of waterfowl hunting I walked into Walmart in June and walked through the hunting section for no particular reason. They had all their steel shot on clearance for 5 dollars a box for 3.5” 12ga, mostly black cloud. I bought every box they had to the tune of 1700 dollars. 4 carts later they had a huddle at the register to decide if I was allowed to buy that much. They ended up letting me and I was escorted out to many dirt looks (california at the time). That ammo didn’t last as long as I imagined, but was probably my best hunting score!
A “hundred and something”...;)
Four dozen for compound two for recurve. I switched to Maxima Reds for this season so I have a bunch of Beeman ICS Camo Hunters 400 to get rid of or keep.
Not counting the arrows too short to shoot with my stick bows that are left over from when I shot compounds, I have over a dozen dozens perfectly shootable plus five dozen or more shafts that aren't fletched. But there's two shooters in the house and a lot of different bows that take different arrows.
I have 5 dozen raw 390 ACCs prohunters and about two dozen cut and fletched, and I am worried that I might run out. Couple dozen raw 340 prohunters hunters. About 6 dozen BEA Rampages in 350 and 300 most are raw 1 dozen BEA 250 Rampages 3 dozen 300 BEA Spartans, 2 dozen Victory RIP in 350 raw 1 dozen raw Easton Hexx 330
And I keep wanting to buy more.
About 30 dozen or so, need arrows?
I'd say maybe five dozen, different arrows for different bows.seven compounds stashed away too.
Only a couple dozen between compound and curve
Ucsdryer story reminded me of one. Acquaintance in high school talked Walmart checkout person into selling him 3 boxes of 50 tree steps for $1.99 each box. That’s what they were marked for each on the box. I talked him into selling me one box for $15.
Not that I condone that, but I took advantage of his need for a little gas money
Holy crap you guys - that's unreal. Ha, laughing out loud.
No wander I can never find my size you guys bought them up! :)
$20 closeout! I've got plenty for my recurves and longbow for a while
Well if you only have one bow....I cn see not having a pile of arrows.
But when you have 5 or 6 different setups both Stickbows and compounds....a man needs some arrows!
Easily 8 dozen here......
4 dozen between compound recurve and longbow
Approximately 4.5 dozen CarbonTech Whitetail 65/80’s and a dozen Rhino 55/80’s...About 18 Hunting arrows made up and ready to go...A dozen or so made up for practice at any given time...
I have 3 dozen for my compounds and probably a couple hundred for my recurves and self bows. Shawn
15 Beman ICS Camo Hunters 340s 12 GT Hunter XT 340 13 Beman ICS Hunter/Cabelas Stalker Extremes 400s 12 XX75 Gamegetter II 2315s and a half dozen other various carbon arrows in 400 spine.
Funny you should ask this question. I was thinking of posting a similar thread after thinking I was getting to large of an arrow arsenal.
Holy crap, i thought i had a stockpile until i saw the pictures on this thread!
Wow! I had no idea how tight I am. I buy a dozen for my recurve and usually get about three years out of them. After every deer I have to refletch the feathers but that's it.
For my (new) compound I'm hoping to get several years out of a dozen but I understand that it's usually harder to find arrows from a compound because its so much harder to keep a visual on them.
Overall, counting some stragglers from previous years I guess that I have about 3 dozen arrows in my possession. I have multiple targets in my yard and shoot a couple of days every week of the year.
Only two dozen at any one time of any one size shaft and plenty of extra feathers, inserts etc. I often buy only a half dozen expensive shafts at a time, but do this constantly, so I will have plenty. Gone are the days when I bought 100 cedar shafts and dipped them so they would be ready for my hunting bow, and I used to run low on target shafts, so I now just keep buying a little at a time all the time like buying groceries, so I don't run out.
