260. No mass. You can do better Pat :-)

Trust me, hunt the ENTIRE season. Arizona elk tag is way to rare of a thing to end it early. It will get better and better. Kill or no kill you will never have elk hunting like this until you draw your next AZ tag.

Thats a 320 bull.

From: Huntcell
16-Sep-18
Day one was 260 maybe, day two was 325

16-Sep-18
I wouldn't have to ask because we would be measuring;)

I have no clue, but Good Luck!

His good thirds and above average width for that size bull has him pushing 330. I would put him at 328

From: Gobears16

324

From: Mule Power
16-Sep-18
More mass would put him over 300.... probably 310. I’m going to say 300 even on that bull.

From: Michael
16-Sep-18
I think that bull will surprise some people. His 3rds are nice. However a little weak on the 4ths. I am going to say he will gross 330.

Pat, Now you know why I live in AZ. Keep after it and it WILL happen. Good luck!!

Good time length overall with long thirds. I put him at 310. Good bull but there are much bigger ones in that unit. I have seen some! Good luck and keep the updates coming.

320 ish. Shooter all day long for me!

From: Medicinemann

Hey Pat, Remember your recent thread about getting your two bucks back from the taxidermist? Why would you want to reduce that majestic bull to nothing more than a number? How superficial of you.....LMAO!!! You are so busted....

Touché Jake. I think Pat served up a softball and you hit it out of the park. ;-)

300-310" weak fronts!

You guys watch too much TV, he’s got weak everything but his 3rds :-)

I can't score that elk, but I would have been shaking like a dog passing a peach seed if he were 15 feet from me.

300

290 - 305. But really there are only two scores "yes" and "no". He's a yes for me but on a special hunt with a good chance of getting on similar and bigger bulls, I could see passing. I'm not much of a trophy hunter but calling/hunting bull elk in the rut with a bow is something we don't get much time to do in our lives. Its to be treasured. He spooks, you get to keep hunting. You kill him, you take a nice bull home. It was a no lose situation.

From: cnelk

Obviously not big enough or you woulda killed him

From: Shawn

I say 114" plus another 210"s!! 320 ish all day. Shawn

From: deerslayer
16-Sep-18
I would guess 320-25ish. I shot a similar bull that had better fronts, but weaker thirds. Grossed 329 4/8. Great bull, but an Az tag changes that definition for sure.

318 5/8 net

I think 310 to 320. I would have tried to kill him too

From: bb

I agree with Norseman. I put him in the 330's

From: Big-Al
16-Sep-18
Maybe 270, but that's being generous too. Nice bull, but no where near 300" if that's what you are after. Great videos, though!

300, 310. I've helped put the tape to a few honest 320+ and they were a good bit bigger. The side view pic shows him better, he's really not all that long in beam and tines to go much over 300 IMO. Front on shots and rear shots are deceptive. Dandy bull though..... I'd have shot him in a second.

Bigdan taught me how to judge elk. Figure what I thought it might go and then take 20-30 points off...... then I'm usually pretty close..... =D

I rather not give a score......don't want to get yelled at like, Jake! :) :)

320ish. Decent mass, good beam length, average point length. A GOOD bull.

From: Bou'bound

Looking bigger now than he did on day 2

From: GhostBird

Yep... definitely 114.........................

From: BOHNTR
19-Sep-18
I measure A LOT of elk.....even been fortunate enough to arrow a few. IMO, that bull is around 300-305", nothing more. Two more years and he could be one of those AZ Giants we sometimes see at panel.

From: Shrewski
19-Sep-18
I’d really like to hear what the guesses were from all in camp, especially the guides. The first bull I killed in AZ was 361, 350 1/8 net officially. The one I killed last year was 270 just measureing myself. The bull in the video is VERY similar to my smaller AZ bull.

From: bb
19-Sep-18
I was thinking 330 would be at the low end of the 330's range. He looks to me like he has at least 50" main beams good mass and long tines especially the 3rd's and 5th's. can't remember the last time I ever saw a sub 300" bull with 5th's that good or 3rd's for that matter. I doubt you would see a low 300's bull with 3rds that good unless he's really lacking everywhere else and this one isn't.

From: Norseman
19-Sep-18
Well... There’s only one thing to do to settle this.

Pat?

19-Sep-18
320 and if you wanted to kill him you should have nervous grunted him to stop him broadside, just sayin...

From: TD
19-Sep-18
It think elk and deer guides buy their tape from the same place bear guides buy their scales....... =D

19-Sep-18
310 bull, but I wouldn't be surprised if he went 10 inches up or down of that. But there's no way that he's 335-340. I have a ton of respect for Steven Ward as a guide, but I disagree.

From: Chief 419
19-Sep-18
315 to 325 is my guess. They always look bigger when blowing snot on you while bugling.

19-Sep-18
270” with a spread, probably 40”, 310” total Beautiful and I’d shoot especially slam dunk close like that

From: Smtn10PT

Watch the video. Looks like he wanted to stop on his own after bolting 10 yards. Then the cow call spooked him further.

No way close to 330 man. I think hear beautiful bull but not even tickling 330.
