Got to be the biggest bodied buck I ever killed. This was a suburban buck living among yards, roads and woodlots not far from Boston. The rut is on in the northeast.

Huge buck. Nice shooting. Suggestion for better tasting buck meat: Cut away those tarsal glands asap.

From: 1boonr
13-Nov-18
Tarsal glands do not taint the meat unless you cut them off first and then use the same knife to process the deer.

Wow,glad I didn't have to drag that hog.We have shot a couple 200# plus bucks in Northern N.Y. and that one looks to be 230-240 easy.

I'm not the biggest guy going but that deer is big even when I'm not kneeling. It was a chore getting him out and hanging him. My scale either crapped out or he broke it. Hoping the butcher can weigh him. I'll let you know.

I’m with Wildan....... It looks to be 230-240 or more. I’ve seen a deer on a scale dressed at 201 and yours is bigger. It’s HUGE !! Congrats !!!!

There are some Big deer down there. Congrats!

Congratulations from one Masshole to another. That beast is huge! The rack is not to shabby either. That is more than a buck of a lifetime for Massachusetts. Bucks can grow big in the suburbs.

Ok, I say every bit of 240. If you can't get your deer on a scale here's something that will get you close. Hope it helps.

From: APauls

What a hoss!! Ya I'd guess 220#. A few years ago I finally bought a scale and now having scaled some 200+# deer I find it very interesting.

From: skipmaster1

That deer is well north of 200#s dressed. I shot one yesterday that was 187# dressed(235-245 live weight) and it was significantly smaller than this.

From: Lee

I’ve shot a few north of 200 dressed and that thing makes them look like a dink! Awesome buck,

Congrats

This one was 245# live wt. About 190 gutted. I still say his MA buck is about 260# gutted weight.

BC - he had a big rack I thought, when you put pic's on the state page... But good god man! He looks like he's been eating ding dong's and ho ho's non stop for weeks or months... Or maybe he's hitting the juice at the local deer gym or something. WOW!

From: patdel

I'll be the first to say it, I think your scale was broke!

From: spike78
14-Nov-18
228 in MA is a horse. Did you drag that by yourself?

From: BC
14-Nov-18
On a deer cart but it was a back breaker. Took me awhile with a lot of rest stops. Not getting any younger but at 62, I’m very pleased I could still get it done. Having said that, I never want to do it again.

From: Wayniac
15-Nov-18
Great buck - congrats!

My biggest dressed at 195,m and I knew this one was bigger/heavier - but WOW!

That's a lot of weight to drag, and must've been "fun" to get in the truck - I know how much I struggled with mine.

Enjoy all that venison!
