Buy both! That’s exactly what I just did. I have a 26-26.5 draw length. My shoulder is really picky so I’m going back and forth right now tinkering.

I usually shoot better groups with less let off. (70 - 80 percent that is). I don't hold as steady with high let off bows, so I pick the 80. Also, MT and CO restrict let off to 80 percent and I hunt MT most every year.

Just a heads up. It'll take about a month to get the extra set of modules. I actually finally asked them to just take them off another bow they had in the shop. It only takes a minute to swap them out and is nice to always have the option to switch back.

So, 80% of 65# is 13# hold weight 85% of 65# is 9.75# hold weight Does that really make a difference?

Yes, 3.75 lbs. Take that weight and hold it out in front of you. After a minute or so you'll find out.

You only need about 50% let-off to facilitate aiming and shooting a compound bow. More than that is more about holding time, which gives added advantage to the hunter in drawing earlier than would otherwise be attempted. Or being able to wait out an animal that hung up unexpectedly just before the shot, instead of having to let down sooner. Anything over that makes the argument about having to draw 'in the presence of game' moot. Much over 65% and the definition of "hand drawn, HAND HELD" is getting hard to defend.

My newest bow, I’m holding a little more than 60.
POUNDS, that is... not percent. Not that that’s a particularly heavy bow in the grand scheme, but.....
Yeah, boy, that extra #3.75 must just be kicking your teeth in....
I can’t believe that you guys don’t get how silly that whole discussion sounds to people who shoot single-string bows.

You still draw all of the weight, pretty much through the entire draw cycle until breakover.

Peco. That's why I capitalized the HAND HELD part. You can't just pick part of the definition. It doesn't say hand drawn OR hand held. How little holding weight do you have to get down to before it's totally irrelevant? I think we past that point at 65%, maybe earlier.

Last compound I owned was 80# with 30% let off. You didn't hold that one at draw too long.

I guess I’m just a big time wuss. Even with my 80% let off 2 of the 4 animals I drew on this past fall I had to let down on because I couldn’t out-wait them. So it’s still relevant for me. Actually one of them I decided to try and squeeze a shot off.
Both animals are still alive today.
