'morning All,
I did an early season scouting/filming trip up in Wyo Moose unit 23 earlier this week.
A couple of our Bowsite Family have applied for this unit/Tag and I promised to help them out with scouting and sharing Text pix if any of them draw the tag.
Of course most of the east side of the unit is still gated with deep snow...…..so I spent most of my time on the west side.
Other than being 'cabined up' during the blizzard one day, it was a very productive trip.
Thanks for taking the time to view.
#LovinLife,
Robb
Still plenty of snow on the mountain and the first trip with my new iPhone XR.

This Moose unit 23 overlaps with:
'G'/145 Muley Buck
LQ 91 Elk (that offers Gen tag hunting with some later date)
Predator Zone for Wolves
The occasional Grizzly encounter.
I traveled thru this lil' Wyo town to get to the trailhead access.

This west side of #23 runs along the east side of Idaho 76 Moose unit.
Great moose habitat for sure
I am off to the Gym by 0500 this early AM.
More to follow------->
Thanks again
Good luck, Robb

I carried my AR seeing as this is a Predator Zone for Wolves
By getting up a little higher, you can see down into all these sweet pockets along the drainage.

I made it to 1st Creek Canyon and the creek was running fast and high so being solo I just didn't want to try and cross

I saw 9 moose, a couple with just a pinch of antler growth showing and the rest cow moose with no visible calves.
Boo-coo elk up higher.
A few mule deer a few with antler nubs showing.
No Yotes, wolves or bears.
Not another single person------->
I looked out the cabin window and said the hell with it today....

Day 3 was a snow, windy cold day so I just actually took the day off and opened the curtains, fired up the fireplace and binge watch Law & Order! haha
Too Nice and comfy!

Over the years some dang good bulls have come out of this drainage ~~ 38--42 wide would be very do-able.
Hopefully this week on the 9th, I will find out if I am helping out a Bowsiter that applied for this 23 unit.
Thanks for taking the time to view.

Robb helped a bunch when I drew 20... great man and help.. but holy cow that’s an ugly hat!
Good stuff Robb. I always like following along with your travels. Our paths will cross soon, I'm sure.
Robb, you are a truly a very generous man -- you help a LOT of hunters. I also like following your pic threads. Post more if ya got em. Thanks, Bob
I hope that the deer are coming back in that region. I really like your threads as you make them very interesting. Thanks..........badbull
Why thank you ~
I've been asked about my bino carrier ( I carry my 10 x 50's in it but sometimes on Sheep hunts my 18 x 56's fit in it too) and What is hanging down from it.
I no longer do the headlamp gig, I went to this type dual light via my FAV Legendary Whitetails company.
1 click and it lights downward, 2 clicks and it lights straight out, 3 clicks and it is dual lights and 4 clicks it's off...………..2 AA batteries and lots of battery life.
Thanks again fella's--------->
Good luck, Robb
PS ~~ Next month I am doing Wyo 31 Bull Elk scouting/lay of the land for a fellow bowsiter from N. Caro., although he is a Tar Heel and I am a Dukie! ha ~~ he drew back in February and is bring his teenage son out for the experience in September to hunt, good guy and Dad.
Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I'm crossing my fingers for good news on Thursday as well in a different unit. Your pictures amp up the anticipation.

Those that reach out to me about my bino's, you all have dang good memories.
Yes, I did have the 15 x 56's but I sold them and went out and got the newer 18 x 56's, with the sale ca$h and my Veterans 10% off, I just about broke even money-------->
See my link above.
Good luck, Robb
Thanks for posting the photos/report. That area looked good on GoogleEarth when I was e-scouting last year, but I never made it very far in.
