The Buff where thick in this big meadow just to the North of Shadow Mnt., no wonder so many harvest them on Shadow Mnt. come hunting season off the NER and on FS ground
I stayed in the same Airbnb as last year's 2 trips in the area.
I spent most of my trip up Horse Creek via FS Roads
I took Lou's advice to use my Wyo Fishing option mid morning break
Good thing I had Pizza back at Airbnb Camp!! No fish caught!

The 'skeeters got Terrible as the sun rose over the ridgeline into the creek bed.
The fires here in our Rocky Mnt. states certainly are filling the air with Smoke!
That's it for this morning, more to follow, ya know first day back, laundry, groceries ect!
Thanks again for taking the time to view,
Robb
A couple nice campgrounds and plenty of off the side of the FS road places to camp as well
I went for a hike to get to the Washakie Wilderness boundary and then bushwacked down to another trail to see what I could see.
I did have the 9mm strapped so I felt A-okay until I got to the starting point of the trail I bushwacked to.
The last time I saw these Safe Game Hanging Poles was when I hunted in #71 for elk
Doing so many remote Solo scouting hikes, I just have gotten use to the Grizzzz warnings and just hike Smart and Aware

Getting across Wiggins Creek was okay until I got to the main channel
I can hunt this #67 with my Gen Any Elk tag and finding some of these remote/hidden lil' ponds is so valuable.

I like chasing elk in this kind of country, open pockets, timber patches and those lush Spring area's.

Thanks for sharing the picks.
Thanks Robb! Really enjoyed the ride.
You all are welcome.
I've answered all the private questions and am content to be of value!
Good luck, Robb
Nice country. I’ll need those GPS coordinates to where you tied up my sheep.
Insanely beautiful Country...you are truly blessed to be in the middle of it, Robb!
Thank You for sharing!
Hey Thanks!
I do enjoy sharing with our Bow Site.
There was a band of sheep up high across Wiggins Creek but no way I was crossing it and with the smoke in the air and distance I couldn't even see sheep in iPhone pix and barely with my 15 x 56 bino's.
NO clue where they will be come the hunt dates. Although the Bow dates start this wknd if memory serves me------>
Good luck, Robb
Thanks Robb; Yup, the more pics the better.
