We have an excellent DIY hunt in NW Colorado (Pinon Ridge) and currently have openings. Here are the details. Call or email me with questions. Unit 11 – Meeker, CO OTC licenses 640 acres of exclusive private land Surrounded by huntable public land Shouldn't see another hunter Only water source is on our private land Use game cameras to monitor water source Do-it-yourself hunt, no guiding Hunt Dates. – Sept. 2 - 6, Sept. 9 - 13, Sept 19 - 23, Sept. 26 - 30 Can drive to camp Stay in wall tents and use camping equipment provided by outfitter Pinion, juniper, oak, dark timber, aspen, meadows, water source 5-day hunt Bear trophy fee $500 (no upfront fee), tag is only $100 $2500 per person archery elk hunt

I guided hunters on Private land off Piñon Ridge up until we moved here to Alaska. Looks like the BLM is proceeding with the Buffalo Horn exchange after all, guided there a lot too.
