This is what the storm did to most of our baits sites. This was a big dark heavily treed spot.

You going to use ground blind at that spot? Looks like the trees are kinda small for a stand.

There’s a few big timber still standing. My usual tree for the stand is still standing. But definitely a great spot for a ground blind now.

Love the trailer and high volume mixing operation! That 2019 storm is a nightmare too!! Thought we had it bad sometimes, that’s brutal. Do you have many hunters this spring?

We use fryer oil (300 litres) And add something sweet to the mix. Make it sticky. Can’t give out all the secrets lol

We will have all the trails opened this spring but we got into some really bad blow downs so now we have to go back with a skid steer and grapple to remove the trees. I’m only having two hunters this year and one is my daughter. I’m only going to host US clients.

How are you hosting US clients?

US must mean Upper Saskatchewan

Will not be hosting any US clients this year unfortunately. Just my daughter and my good buddy’s son.

Got to hunt for myself this year. Just in time also as I have been restricted to my enter into my hunting area. Conditions are very very dry hot and windy. With fires north of us that are burning out of control it’s best we just leave the area for now. cameras are still up and will be there when we can return. So that will be it for our spring baiting. Next year we will be working harder than ever to make sure everyone has the best hunt possible knowing that they have been waiting for two long years to hunt. Hoping that there is lots of success this year for all the guys bear hunting this spring.

There is a no back country travel ban on right now. I had a travel permit to run baits and travel by truck and quad. But the Conservation officer pulled the permit yesterday. (conditions are worsening with the fire danger) I'm not too upset about it cause I was only baiting anyway and I don't want to be the cause of a fire in the area.
