Like the title says, name this dog. (I know there’s at least regular who knows.)
And no, the dog in question isn’t wearing KUIU!
Greater Swiss mountain beagle
IF SHE A FEMALE LAURA IF HE A MALE KOI
“Pinto” named after this Ben Pearson bow I just got .
Here’s another picture for those that remember these old bows...
Hope it is higher quality than the Pinto car.
Nice way to get it back to archery related Keefers
Trouble, GET DOWN!, NO! DROP! OUTSIDE!
Those are all the words I use everyday lately. Lol
Hey Scott, must be age over beauty.
Since you posted on the sheep forum....I'm going with Rocky.
That is unless, we're talking Colorado...then I'd go with Stoner.
Looks like a Australian Shepard, male.
Based on that guy’s grin....I’ll say he’s called Dairza Gudboy.
Keefer-Pig hunting in 1965. My brother on the right has a PINTO. I had shop/lanes back then (64 thru 82) & Pinto was a good one..
Gents,
The dog’s owner is/was Lawson Peterson. Lawson was my, and a few other Bowsiters guide, for Stone Sheep hunts with Tuchodi outfitters through about 2014. Lawson moved on to news things and as far as I know he stopped guiding after the 2014 season.
Anyway, now that I’m retired I was catching up on reading magazines and read an article from one of last years editions of the WSF’s magazine. In the article one of your favorite Bowsiters wrote about his FNAWS accomplishment. In the article’s artwork was a picture of Lawson and the above dog. He’s a great dog and I was trying to remember his name.
I’ve had a few cocktails tonight but I believe it was Tom (Mad Trapper) who wrote article and he might remember the dogs name..... Kevin, whose handle I don’t remember, is an infrequent poster but he might also remember.
Ford Pinto Station wagon was my first car in college.. Yellow with wood trim. HaHa
Maybe if you would have phrased it differently like "does anyone know the name of this dog?" You wouldn't have seen it go so far down the wrong track. Just saying. Good luck with your quest.
Picture reminds me of a dog I had back in the 80's. Her name was TC.
Grizzly63,
The vagueness of my request was intentional. I could easily reach out to Lawson but this seemed like a more interesting approach.
Is this thread ending up like a dog chasing it's tail? Around and around and going nowhere.
Nice way to get it back to archery related Keefers
How about STAINS for a name? That way when you call its name you can yell "COME STAINS, COME STAINS"
Tilzbow, I never met the dog but I did understand the question. He looks a lot like this "4 eyed" little monster I brought back from a Javalina & Coues Hunt in Arizona this year....and to keep this "archery related" his name is Archer!
Huey saved us a lot of packing and notified us that we were about to walk into a grizzly in the dark on that hunt -- and we were all loaded down with sheep meat at the time.
Dog name: Alpine
And that is the all time greatest collection of camping condiments I've ever seen
He looks like an Archie..
