Well earned, congrats to you.Just curious what is your bow wt. and arrow set up?
What a stud. Nicely done.
Steve D, its a 58 lb Lonesome Wind longbow with Gold Tip 500, a weight tube, a couple brass washers and125 gr Kudu Point up front. I didn't have it in the picture since I already took it back to the truck in preparation of what was going to be a brutal drag out (I ended up using a friends ATV and even that wasn't fun). Thanks for the congrats and looking forward to seeing others on the meat pole soon.
Second day of the archery season, was surprised to see this buck heading towards some acorns.
18 yds. Heart shot. Montana
Beautiful buck Big Sky...…….congrats to everyone!

WI 10/11 - Got out the stand early as nothing was moving in the woods. Came to the field edge and he was making scrapes about 150 yards away. Watched him through the binos as he started working his way towards me. I was about 5 yards in the woods knelt down on a 4 wheeler trail basically in the open. He ended up crossing my opening at 20 yards and stopped to look at me while I was already at full draw. Bad mistake for him. Went 70 yards and dropped. 10 pt with a huge body. Didn't weigh him but know he was over 200 lbs. Neck was completely swollen and he smelled of rut as well. First deer from the ground out in the wide open......what a great night!
Killed this neat buck last night, watched him go down 25-30 yards after the shot.

Congrats on retirement and your buck Buckhammer. Congrats to all the other hunters as well.
Congratulations, Shiloh (MedicineMan)!!
What a lot of folks don’t know, Shiloh is one of the best Traditional (long bow/recurve) competition 3D shooters in the central US. Let’s just say this… when he pulls up to shoots, competitors cringe. He’s GOOD! Humble too.
If anyone could lend a hand in rotating my pic so that it is proper I would appreciate it. The image tool on my end does not appear to be working. Thanks
Mason connected on Saturday. 15 yard shot, MT.
Try SHUGs method here......please, please, please rotate pic correctly!
Mason is my Hero. Strong work to all. Best of luck to those still hunting. November is a magical time. Enjoy the ride. Hunt

Some great bucks hitting the ground! Congrats to everyone.
Dang, some great additions since I checked in. Charlie is vying for the title of “Drycreek’s Hero” with that buck. (Currently Paul@theFort has that title). Too many to name everyone but I am duly impressed with the caliber of bucks posted this season.
Great bucks all. Keep them coming.
This is when they start pouring in! What a time to be alive.

Been seeing a lot of scrub bucks and scrubs that are broken up. Seeing does with fawns and fawns without mama. Lots of very large rubs. But, no big bucks. I am hunting about 50 miles north of Pats place in Ohio. But, its still early.
I have yet to step into the woods but from this thread I can almost smell the wet leaves and tarsal glands!
I to will retire at the end of this month... hope I do as well as Buckhammer.
Nice deer all!

My daughter had knee surgery 2 weeks ago but I knew that wouldn’t stop her from getting back in the woods. She was able to hobble out to one of her stands Saturday afternoon and harvest this nice 9 point buck.
About 5:40 she heard the buck coming through the middle of the woods. She saw antlers and decided it was one she would shoot given the opportunity. With her knee she wasn’t sure if she should stay sitting and hope he would come in front but she decided to stand. He stopped about 30 yards broadside out front to the right but she knew that was a little bit of a stretch for her so she waited patiently. Once he started moving closer and put his head down she decided to draw. He was going to her right so when she drew her tether was in the way so she had to readjust. Of course he stopped directly behind a tree when she was full draw. She wanted to let up but played the waiting game because she knew as soon as she let up he would move from behind the tree. So she held for about a minute and he finally moved to the field behind her. She gave a little mmrp to get him to stop and let her arrow fly. He ran back into the woods about 30 yards down with the arrow sticking out. She got down and found good blood but we decided to wait about a little over an hour before tracking. My daughter, myself, and my son went out and followed a great blood trail. She spotted her luminock farther up in the middle of the woods but when we got there it wasn’t in the deer. She said her heart sank for a minute but then she spotted the buck dead about 10 yards away. Unfortunately in that short amount of time a coyote had already started working on it. Thankfully we didn’t wait until morning or there probably wouldn’t be much left. Super proud of her for her dedication and persistence and happy for her as this was her biggest buck with a bow. She was also thankful that her big brother was there to help drag it out as just walking through the plowed field was rough on her knee.
Congrats to your daughter.
Congrats to your daughter also!
Thanks forgot to say NE WI
Noah (14-years-old) with his first solo hunt buck. He set the stand that he shot this buck himself, and he also did the gutless method on his own (his mother and little sister helped hold a leg or two), and packed it out. Very proud dad moment for me! Manitoba, November 6.
My Manitoba bigwoods buck on November 9 at 9 am.
Nice bucks folks! Special congrats to all the successful youngsters!
Congrats David!!!! For both you and your son!! I know it’s all the rage to be happier about kid stuff but dang - that buck you shot is a Manitoba STUD. They don’t come around often. Congrats.
And way to go Noah. Pretty cool to watch him go from tagging along to hinting himself to now setting his own stands and killing and taking care of his own stuff. Proud papa is right. Congrats to the both of you
Thanks Adam, I know you understand the effort and challenges that are required for the Manitoba bigwoods, means alot!

Story on mass page if anyone’s interested. “A giant has fallen….the end of an era”
Incredible deer and memories here. Way to go Troy. What do you call it when you have three O.I.L. Deer inside of 2 years and more on the way? Are they still once in a lifetime deer?
t-roy doesn't kill unless he gets my blessings and well wishes the day before. ;-)
Congrats again, Troy! Sure love the new pic format on here.
Congrats Troy!! It’s been fun following along on your season, knowing any day a monarch may fall. I never lost confidence in you!!
MA-PA That’s a giant, congrats to you guys
Troy gets a "once in a lifetime" buck every year! Just kidding a bit there, but his consistency sure is paying off. Congratulations on another monster buck!!

Congratulations T-Roy! One heck of a buck.
Thanks M.Pauls!!! Sad it ended but glad it ended in our hands and not someone else’s. Biggest buck we’ve ever killed. Hands down. The mass is incredible. Just a phenomenal trophy. once in a lifetime for sure
Wow Troy, he's even more impressive in this pic. Unreal! Congrats! Was this the top candidate on the list?
Congrats Troy on another giant! We knew it was coming!!
Nick……I didn’t think you were EVER gonna get back from Kodiak!! It was like watching for black or white smoke, from the Vatican!
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Been a roller coaster November rut, for sure. 12yards……I’ve actually been after another buck, that I let walk last year, that is a toad as well. I blew it on him in October, but the game’s not over yet!
MA-PA……..glad you guys had a happy ending on that buck. I know how stoked you were about getting a crack at him! Love the mass!
Thanks T-Roy! Still on cloud 9 and I didn’t even trip the release. Just glad we got him!

Story from my core Buck "Dutton" I shot 28 Oct.
I get ready and head to the stand about 1530 as I want the falling thermals to just about start and went back to Swamp, got in and setup - oh and I went to the big field door and scored another dozen milkweed pods - started tossing milkweed and winds were hinky, like breathing back and forth so instead of waiting for them to settle - which I wasn't sure they would, I bailed and went to the North side of the creek (South facing slope) where they were still rising and got setup. Beautiful stand, Beech Stand - I hauled a chainsaw up in Sep and cut a 6" limb out and moved the stand to be correct for the movement I thought would happen in the plot.
Thermals and wind were working perfectly for hunting in the bottom. Witching hour hit and the only deer I saw that hunt was a large buck, he stepped out at the bottom left of the plot - shooter - popped into mine, but that was about 65 yrds.
He started meandering up the plot - pawing the ground and making a lil scrape every 20' or so and grab a couple mouthfuls of plot salad, I took a chance and pulled the phone for a quick snap as he didn't appear to be in a hurry.
He hit the licking branch at 30 yds - but looked like he was just gonna keep heading up the plot - and it was a quartering to shot - which is a no-go for me. Bow in hand and hooked up, he continued up Bottom Plot, stopped and looked back at the licking branch= I drew back, he started back up the plot and passed the 20 yd mark I had ranged.
To "Baaaa" or not to "Baaaa" that is the question - kinda screaming in my mind as he got parallel with me. good form, good sight picture, 20 yrd pin right where it needed to me, watching him walk and he took that front foreleg out for another step - release. Saw the arrow hit true and thru and thru.
My first thought was That's a dead deer running. Second was that's the first deer I shot walking - arrow was buried in the ground on the far side of him at 18 yards.
I heard him run in the dry leaves for about 2 seconds - he ran outa sight and stopped, 5-6 seconds later - seemed like a week passed - I hear a step - then crash. Rain was about 30-45 mins out so I made the call to trail after only about 5-10 mins just in case - I dint think there was any doubt... and there wasn't// ran about 40 yrds and stopped in a thicket... died right there.
Wow, some fine specimens on the pole this year! Congrats everyone!
Northern Illinois, November 10. Grunted him in from 100 yards and gave me a 15 yard broadside shot.
Two Montana boys getting it done in Kansas nice job Hunter and Mike!
Why is Pat's Ohio buck noticeably missing from this thread? Do I smell a BTC?
Another incredible Iowa buck Troy! Congrats man!!!!
Just got back from Iowa myself. After seeing your buck, I'm thinking mine is an escapee from the Iowa buck nursery...LOL!

Heck of a buck with the Selfbow Bentstick54! Congratulations
Well, I filled my Ohio tag on the 16th of nov. That was my last day to hunt. I got in my stand around 2:00 pm. I figured that any deer was going to do. Meat in the freezer. As I sat watching the day come to an end. At about 4 o'clock, I looked through the trees into the cut corn field, I said only 2 words. OH SHIT. He was about 100+ yards from me. I tried everything to get him to come m way. Even threw the kitchen sink at him. All I could do is watch him walk away. I did hope that he might swing around, no dice. Well, I got to to see a real giant, oh well. As time moved on, at around 4:40, I looked to the south of me in the same field. Again, OHHHHHHH, SHIT factor. As a former measurer for P&Y and still measure for Ohio big buck club. I have seen quite a few big bucks. The 2nd buck just walked across the far edge of the field. Again, I threw everything at him. Nothing. I just watched him walk away. I did hope that maybe one of them would swing around. Well, at 5:15 looked south again. There stood a deer. About 40 yards. I noticed the rack. Not a big rack, but a good rack. It was getting dark. I got ready. He came into the woods walked up the trail and gave me a broadside shot at 12 yards. The buck trotted of about 35 yards, stood there, then dropped. He got back to his feet( thought he was going to do the death run). No, he just dropped right there. He is an 8 pt. with a 15 1/2 inside spread. Field dressed at 157lbs. Yes guys, I am happy with this deer. Oh, scored the rack, 112.
Awesome hunt Boris! I’d be happy with that deer too!!!! Amazing action!
Today, MO firearms season filled with bow.

Last Saturday. Still has me shaking. Ohio
Lots of gray facial hair …I’ll add mine .Happy Thanksgiving !
Manitoba late season buck. Didn’t have much time to hunt whitetails this year, but hunkered down a bit in the last week. Saw this buck the morning of the 23rd, crossing a swamp at 420 yards with another slightly smaller buck. Rattling sequence brought him to a 20 yard shot, 45 minutes later. I couldn’t pass that up!! Not too often it all works out
Some incredible deer this year fellas. Strong work. Running out of time in MT. Smith filled his tag on Friday.
Congrats bro!!!! Buck is a STUD!
Congratulations to everyone on some amazing deer!
I shot this buck Saturday afternoon at 1:55 pm. He was walking with the wind and gave me a 25 yard shot. The arrow zipped through his lungs and he died in sight. I did a hang and hunt on this deer and it worked like a charm. 1.1 miles and across a deep creek, I was toast after getting him out. Was an awesome day!
Nice buck Rick. Way to kill the ones with demented jaws.
Way to go Rick! That’s an awesome 8 point. I’ve always been partial to big 8’s. Hope to see Lana’s picture next!

MA-PAdeerslayer. Thank you! Indeed! I thank God every day. I hope someday a buck approaching the caliber of your uncle's buck walks by one of my gals.
Putting a tape on him this weekend when we get to PA. Can’t wait to see what he scores. Know he’ll shrink a bit but I wanna know lol
Butch, that is really awesome! Huge congrats to Bridget and the girls!!!
NY, Nov. 17th.
Nutshell version: Spotted him at 8:45am and began a stalk. Attempted to challenge call him in at one point while within 40 yards. Watched him bed in the tall grass and golden rod. By 11:45 I had worked my way to a dirt mound with an old stump to climb up on for a clear shot over the weeds at 25 yards. Texted my "part-time boss" and told him I was busy trying to kill a buck so wouldn't be working today :). Ended up standing on that stump until 3:05 when he finally stood, for the 2nd time, presenting a good clear shot angle. Made it count, and he expired in seconds after a 30 yard sprint. Wasn't even a buck I knew or was after!
Long story version: coming later.
Great pics and congratulations to everyone! Good luck to those still after it!
Thanks Matt. Congrats on your giant! Seems like an annual thing for you!

I think the recent Iowa addition deserves its own thread. Seriously, has anyone had a two year booner killing spree like our own bowsite legend?

My season is done other than some late doe hunting. My second buck was not a good shot and when I recovered him the next morning all that was left was a head, spine and hooves. I think I need to do some coyote hunting.
Congrats Shiras on a great year!

School is crazy for a junior in high school I think she was only able to hunt 4 times but still go it done, better to be lucky than good!
Great to see the the young ladies scoring! Congrats, Maddie and to your daughter as well, KSBOW!

Filled my second Oklahoma buck tag 1-3-22 on a buck that I had multiple encounters with last year, but he always ended up with a lucky break leaving me with no shot. Thankfully, I had luck on my side this go around.
Congrats to everyone this season. Sure been a lot of awesome deer taken!
Nice to see some ladies getting it done! Congratulations!
Medicineman-that looks like a nearly perfect typical rack. Beautiful buck!
T-roy-another monster, and no one is surprised! I think you should be the renamed as the official Bowsite WT master hunter. You are gaining legend status year by year. I'm glad that you share your hard earned success with us mere mortals;)
1/2/2022. Been after him for three years and he finally messed up with cold temps and a good food source.

Truly there are some real great bucks in this thread and there a quite a few dandy bucks.
It’s great to see all the effort and success within the hunting community.
Oh and T-Roy… yes change your handle to the “ Buck Whisperer” congrats sir!!

What a collection of great trophies in these weird times... Lloyd for the win!
Some very impressive whitetails this season! Congrats to you all. See a lot of familiar faces. I will try and represent NJ with this 11/30/2021 11 point buck. He was a 12 point last year as he had both brows split, but this year decided to split just one. I passed on him twice during last winter bow, just to have somethinng to hunt this season. Glad I did. Lot of mass on this one, not something I am used to in this state but he was a thick heavy boy and has been a bully and breeding machine the past two seasons.
Boyz in the Woodz………..
Huntman and the crew helped me fill my last tag on the last day of the late season January 15th.....and we had to wade into the Bitterroot river for this one's death run!
TJs hair is looking good!
Congrats Mike!
