Friend sent this to me. Ohio. Only 4 years old.
Wish he was on my ground!
niiice buck....solid 114sh
I need better friends. Incredible buck
Droopy ears. Must be a fake.. ;-)
Dang it Jaq. Beat me to it.
Has a very Rompolish look about it…
He can't even walk down the corn rows without getting his antlers stuck in the corm stalks!
be easy to follow him through the corn by watching the stalks bending forward.
He has a built-in combine corn head! WOW!!
Holy Moly... Kinda reminds me of the Hansen Buck...
That was my first thought Troy. Probably a damn robo deer stuck out by Mr. Green Jeans. ;-)
Eh, I think he needs another couple years. He might really “blow up”. Of course then I would put him on my “hit list”.
Yeah, unless there's a G4 at the end of the left beam, he's only a basic 5x4 with a left brow sticker, let him pass...8^)
Looks like he has been working out too......no beer gut
Greg's name "Combine" buck resonates. 40" tip to tip spread?
Will look like rompers buck in a year or 2. Wow
Ive seen it all now.. That buck is long arming his own antlers for the camera.
" Only 4 years old. "
Not sure I'd take that to the bank. But he is a trophy-of-a-lifetime for most anyone.
Scrappy, don't believe that's "long arming." Just a modeling look-at-me "rack" pose by a future celebrity!
WOW. Some true giants in parts of Ohio.
I was stuck working in Ohio thru October and November about 10 years ago, near Barnesville. Every evening on the way back to the camper I'd about wreck the truck gawking at all the giant bucks I'd see. Almost every buck I saw was bigger than anything I'd ever seen in my home woods in Southwestern PA. It was nothing to see 5-10 giants every evening on the 40 minute ride back to the camper. Nothing quite as big as the picture of the buck in this thread but still big enough to get this PA boys heart racing.
Looks like the Rompola buck.
That's a buck that dreams are made out of, or nightmares if you don't get him!
Yikes! Hope your friend is in a position to be able to hunt that bruiser. I've been seeing a lot of great bucks being taken in Ohio this season.
Someone else said it, but have to admit, my first thought was: "Wholly crap, the Rompala Buck".
Amazing deer!
PS - it's ok to admit this was your neighbor in CT Pat. We know they grow like that all the time there.
What the hell are they putting in that corn out there???
Management buck. Not enough tines. lol
I’m a meat hunter not an evil trophy hunter. So I would shoot a doe standing next to it with half the meat.
Wait what?
DANG! I’ve always LOVED wide racks...............I don’t care how many points they have!
Eh… I think he needs to grow another year…. Lol
Pass..........only single throat patch.
I seen one that big one time…then the alarm woke me up.
This buck instantly reminded me of a buck from about 15 years ago that my buddy shot at and missed, arrow went right under his chest. A gun hunter killed the buck the next weekend during the shotgun season about a half mile down the road. The hunter was an acquaintance of a friend and we got a picture. I found the picture tonight on an old phone and I’m trying to pull it off. I’ll post it up if can get it done. It was an incredible buck, very wide and tines raked back.
This is a terrible pic of a pic. Still trying to figure out how to pull the image off of the phone. Can’t send it by text or email.
Finally pulled the pic off of the old phone. Not much better quality, but the buck that Pat posted reminded me of this deer. This was back when cell phone cameras sucked.

My buddy’s friend killed him.
Absolute Giant!!! Can't stop looking at that deer...
That thing looks like an Angus bull in the face. I'd guess him older than 4.5. How sure are they on the age?
Nice that he is intact with that sticker still there! Congratulations to the hunter!!!
Stud buck! What county was that in Pat?
Congrats to him, awesome buck!
What a buck he looks old or just tired from breeding does
That’s some kind of awesome buck! Congratulations to the hunter.
I'm not seeing much mass? (not that I would pass)
I’d be curious to find out his age also. Whopper either way though!
It was Ohio, Licking County
Pat - Did they put a tape measure on him, am curious what he scores?
Sure looks bigger Alive,, in the trail camera pic
Huge. Giant body too! I’d love to know some measurements on it
"Sure looks bigger Alive,, in the trail camera pic"
I was thinking the same thing. The hunter is doing the Chuck Adams pose, too, and it still looks bigger in the trail cam pic. Small bodied deer perhaps?
Great deer, nevertheless, and congrats to the hunter.
Matt
Yeah, it does look bigger on the hoof! But then again, it's still a MONSTER!
When was it killed, Pat? It(vegetation) still looks real green in the kill pic..................................
No clue on score, date, or measurements. Same buddy that sent me the trail cam pic sent me the hero pic.
Definitely less impressive in the hero photo and it almost appears like it’s 3.5, not 4.5?
A fantastic buck nonetheless.
I agree, fantastic buck, a no brainer for me. Having said that, I’ve had a few deer that just genetically are smaller framed bodies making them look gigantic in trail cam pics and then in person all of a sudden they are underwhelming. Nothing underwhelming about this buck in person, but by comparison to his trail cam pic, he does look smaller. My guess is body is unusually small
Congrats to the hunter, I hope he soaks it in and enjoys his success
Beautiful deer, trail cam picture was September so thinner neck maybe plus no size reference. Have a kid pose with it, and it will look much larger :) I'm sure this buck is very impressive in person (not that it isn't in the photos). Congrats to the successful hunter.
