I need a durable 3 or 5pin sight that works in low light situations. I dont want to miss that last light opportunity in the woods. What have you had success with?

There are a lot of good sights out there. Whichever one you choose, DO NOT put it on a VXR 31.5

Montana black gold out of box is brightest. Spot Hogg if using light attachment is awesome

I have shot a number of different fixed pin sights. Most of them have been 5 pin. The last two years I shot a 3 pin slider. Basically the top two were fixed and the bottom pin was a slider. The biggest thing it helped in was pin congestion in the pin guard.
Some sights I have shot are Fuse, Apex, Trophy Ridge react and Trophy ridge Hotwire.

I’ve used Black Gold sights since they first came out, from fixed pin to 1 and 3 pin sliders. Never had a reason to look elsewhere. High quality, bright pins, and awesome customer service. They also offer an adjustable Blind Man’s light kit that attaches to the top photo chromatic shell. Invaluable for inside a dark blind and indoors when the lighting is bad.

MBG Verdict mainly single pin. I do have the 3 pin slider on another bow. Like both of them.

I thought I had a good sight armortech HD, until I bought Black gold, with this sight there is no need of light attachment , as you can see the difference, very impressed on how bright it is, sorry about the pictures quality

For stand hunting I use Montana Blk Gold 3 pin but only use 2 pins 15 and 25 yards which gets me out to 30 yards… For spot and stalk I use a spot hog fast Eddie 2 pin model

The Option 6, from Dan Evans, www.optionarchery.com This sight covers every scenario. 5 fixed pins, and the 6th is a slider. 20-70 fixed or dial to 100 with the slider. The fixed pins can be flipped out of the way for a single pin slider for target or hunting. Someone will have to explain to me in great detail how any other sight could possibly be better. :)

Trophy Ridge V5 vertical ballistic sight. A lot less clutter with vertical pins.

I've used everything from single pin slider to seven pin fixed. Pin confusion seemed to get worse as I got older , so the seven pin on my back up bow is down to four and it doesn't go on mountain or open space hunts anymore. My main hunting bow has a three pin Spot Hogg slider, which I find pretty much ideal. Top, middle or bottom out to about forty five yards. A buddy has a two vertical pin Fast Eddie I will try this spring.
