Well, I believe in at least being consistent. I was disappointed to hear Trump endorses OZ. I know some think that any Republican is better than a Democrat but I think this just goes to show that lesser of 2 evils is not a real option. The choice between a Marxist and a Socialist is not a choice IMO. This is the reason why I'm not a Republican or Democrat. It's all about power and the few that want to do what's constitutional just get put on the back burner.

I agree that the majority of Dems are for big government with Marxist leanings but it seems to we always end up with bigger government either way we go. These days the leftist don't even try to hide the fact that they are lean toward Marxist ideals. Republicans have had their share of contributing also..remember the Patriot Act? Lot of of non violent folks sitting in jail that their only crime was putting something into their body the gov deemed illegal. I don't use drugs but unless someone's actions harm another individual then it should be their business. I think we've become so accustom to the gov dictating our every action we think it's normal.

"but it seems to we always end up with bigger government either way we go."

The question isn't whether we will spend more (yes) but what we'll spend it on. The GOP has not been *fiscally* conservative since ages ago. Instead, more planes, more missiles, more of everything military (except paying soldiers better.) The Dems want to spend more on 'social problems'. Either way, the kickbacks flow.

Oz has dual citizenship : Turkey and US.

Oz says he will give up Turkish citizenship if elected.

Country should never allow its citizenship to have dual citizenship.

I guess with near a quarter million illegals coming over the border each month, what difference does it make.

Yes illegals, they are not migrants, immigrants, refugees, blah blah blah.

ILLEGALS.

At that pace, two years of illegals, will equal the current population of state of Wisconsin.

Bye Bye America….

You have the right to vote when it counts most - in the primaries. Lower turn-out means your vote counts for more. And in some states, being registered as 'independent' allows you to vote in _either_ primary.

“ 45% right he is 45% more right than biden so far. Guys average is worse than a mlb pitchers batting average.”

Dana that’s probably hard to comprehend but major league pitchers bat about .050. That’s 5% if you don’t get that. I think that’s even pretty generous for Biden. I don’t think his mind can work long enough to find first base.

From: ChuckY

Lots of states you can't register as independent. You have to pick a real party and then and only then you can vote in that primary. There is no Independent Party. Not sure why people think there is one.

I love this country but we all are rapidly moving more toward Marxism. I really don't know if a true conservative could get elected today. I hate to use the word conservative because it doesn't mean what it once did ...since people like Bush n McConnel describe themselves as conservative. Hell, I don't think JFK would make it in the Republican party today..without changing a lot of his positions.

From: Squash

You do know JFK was a Democrat right ? I think you meant he would not make it in today’s Democrat party ?

From: TGbow
17-Apr-22
No, I meant that I don't think he would even make it in the Republican party today. The Democrats have advanced beyond "Liberal" to being more Marxist and the Republicans are filling the Socialist gap. There are still some constitutionalist left but often they get black balled. Honestly, it's scary how much power the government has over our lives. I know we need basic laws but the justice system is not what it should be. People serve more time for marijuana charges than for murder

From: timex

Some of ya'lls left or right ideology humors me. Imo the biggest problem with our government is the extreme divide & there no longer seems to be any middle ground. I consider myself an independent with strong conservative values. I believe in a strong military, smaller government & helping those in need. Especially seniors & veterans. But absolutely not supporting the lazy welfare abusers. I know the vast majority on here believe that if your not right then ya "must" be left. Well can assure you I'm not a liberal but on the other hand I just can't bring myself to jump on the r train & just ride wherever it may go. It seems as though my votes for quite some time have been defensive in nature "against" the lesser of two canadates. Rather than a positive vote for a candidate that I truly believed in.

Unfortunately times have changed and there is little to no grey area. The reality is we are losing our country and every vote that is not cast for conservatives is a vote against America. You can stuff your pipe full of the most self righteous shit and puff away on top of your high horse and brag about how dignified your voting strategy is, but when your rights are stripped away the only person to blame is you and people like you. Lesser of 2 evils, or whatever you want to call it.. bottom line is birds of a feather… a dem is most likely to side with Dems just as R most likely votes with the R’s. So if you want 53 genders, statues torn down, sexuality taught in kinder, history rewritten, reparations, then by all means don’t vote R.

Until there is balance there is no middle of the road.

18-Apr-22
We are divided but I can't do much about that other than try and educate people who hold wrong positions due to ignorance. Informed people who still choose the incorrect ideals and policy are a bit of a lost cause. The country is constantly going left and has been for a long time. Compromise and "middle ground" aren't necessarily good things. Compromise has now been defined as how much the right loses and the left wins.

I have no desire for more of that. Unity sounds great but we are at a point of irreconcilable differences on many, many issues.

I mostly agree with glunt. As I previously said I consider myself an independent with conservative values. I live in a 60k house that I owe very little on have no vehicle or credit card debt my newest vehicle is 26 years old my boat is 56 years old. Between my wife & myself we're putting 40% of our gross income into a retirement account. We eat very little store bought meat & veggies. I consider that very conservative. Friends of mine that are flaming red right Republicans are in dept up to their eyeballs house mortgaged to the max struggling to pay bills but their proud conservatives. I think it's hilarious!!! Another thing that I just can't get over is radical right amendments nut jobs that feel the need to publicly exercise their rights by walking around downtown with an AR hanging on their chest saying hey look at me. Iv been around guns my entire life & not one single time has the thought ever entered my mind to go parade around the city with one. I'm sorry folks. Conservative I am possibly to the extreme but I just can't bring myself to jump on the r train with the rest of the somewhat right crowd.

The constitutional rights absolutely give us the right to bare arms. They don't give us the right to behave ( IGNORANTLY ) With them !!!!! I've had guns since I was a child had I ever done anything such as walking around town with one exercising my rights my father who was a us Marine corps officer would have whooped my ass so bad I'd still feel it & the same goes for myself & my children. My how times have changed. If it's your belief that flaunting guns in public just because.... is acceptable than your opinion is of no concern to me anyhow. Have a good evening sir.

So far I like what I hear from Dr. Oz.

I haven’t heard anything of substance from the other guy- except for trying hard to push his small town Pa roots in his ads, even though he’s a hedge fund millionaire who has lived in Connecticut most of his adult life.

From: ohiohunter

TGbow, got it. So you effectively didn't vote, but it made you feel righteous. Check.. I did that too, when I turned 18, because I didn't understand how our two party system works. But I sure felt good about wasting that first voting opportunity of my life.

24-Apr-22
The Presidential election is the Superbowl. There are only two teams. I may not like the quarterback or the coach but its too late to change that once the game starts.

Primaries are the opportunity to send messages or make statements with votes. Once the big game starts its either win or lose with who you have.

Voting for who you think the best candidate is that isn't Rep or Dem usually helps the side that's worse for you win.

Lou, I consider my vote being wasted when I continually vote for a certain party and keep getting the same overall results. To me, that's wasting my vote. I don't have to agree 100% with the candidate but I have to agree on the fundamentals...the leftist are in the wide open with their agenda but the Neo Cons have a way of passing under the radar. My Dad is 93 ,ex military and has always been a true conservative but when I asked him why he voted for JFK in 1960, the year I was born, he said because he felt like he loved his country and my Dad didn't trust Nixon...which turned out to be good judgement on my Dad's part. I understand we have to have a certain amount of government but we've past the point of limited government a 100 yrs ago and it's only progressed as time has passed. GW Bush gave us some of the worse prices of tyrannical tools ever. Didn't care for his Dad either. Reagan was pretty good even though I didn't agree with him on some issues, but other than Reagan, the Republicans haven't impressed me. I voted for Trump both times even though I didn't agree with him on everything. Of course the Democrats have crossed the point of being Socialist to being a Marxist party..most of them anyway

The old game of establishment left and right playing both sides against each other for endless greed/power/control is over. Its now a tug of war from the extremes on both sides, with a deadly chasm in the middle for the loser.

The new left are radical Marxists looking to completely change our entire system of government. They propped Biden up as a Trojan horse, but we can see who really controls the increasingly far left agenda. Moderate dems are a ghost of the past.

The new right is the MAGA crowd with policy I like, and a crass figurehead I can tolerate. Further right are the fringe Qanon nuts I can't stand at all, with a frightening wide reach and lack of critical thinking.

But one thing I will NEVER do again is vote for the establishment GOP career politician, lesser of two evils or not!! These bastards of the Lincoln Republican breed (Bush, Cheney, Romney, etc.) were willing to LET the radical democrats win, knowing they would fail the country and hoping they could win back power on the rebound. All because Trump took it from them.

The MAGA camp now holds roughly 2/3 of the republican voter base and they need us more than we need them. If the establishment GOP is willing to risk everything to get power back, I am willing to let it all burn rather than let them have it. F'em.

It has been a long time since I responded to a thread, so long in fact that I had to re-register with bowsite. The importance of winning this senate seat has moved me to a response. Dr. Oz lives less than 1/2 mile from me. I see him at church and I see who he hangs out with. His friends are conservative and people I respect. I was fortunate to dine with him and 8 others less then two weeks ago. He was talking about hunting and deer sausage with the others before I had a chance to. First time we met. I listened to him for almost two hours explaining why he got in the race and what he believes. He is no Rhino. I finally spoke with him at the end of the evening. We talked about the red stag hunt I did in NZ and the stage hunt he did in Argentina. Who knew Charleton Heston was a big gun advocate that later became the president of the NRA? Likely he would have been labeled a Rhino too. I respect Heston for leaving Hollywood and joining the fight. I respect Oz for doing the same. He owes no one. If Dr. Oz gets by the primary, he will win the seat in PA. He has the suburban woman vote that Trump lost. "In a 2012 interview with Henry Louis Gates Jr., Oz said that his father strictly followed Islam, while his mother was a secular Kemalist.[146] Oz says that his own beliefs are influenced by Sufism (Islamic mysticism) as well as Swedenborgianism, the ideas of 18th-century Swedish theologian Emanuel Swedenborg.[146][147][148]

Very skeptical of Oz. Was leaning towards Mccormick until I heard Trump speak. Mccormick is apparently a rhino with ties to china and Mitch Mcconnel. Might be nice guy but I am done with rhinos. Period. I don’t think the other candidates can beat Fedderman who is backed by the unions. Oz will have no problem taking on Fedderman head to head. I will be voting for oz as we have to win the general election. Fedderman would be a disaster for Pennsylvania. We already have one do nothing senator, who like our famous woodchuck, only comes out of his hole to get re-elected by the unions. Then he quickly heads back underground to await the next election in 6 years. My 2 cents.

He has a ranch in Florida and hunts and fishes.I know him and have done both with him frequently. We just had a tower shoot for pheasant a couple months ago and dove and duck hunted this past season. His son also hunts and was along on most of these. They both fish with me often as well.Neither bow hunt as of yet but they are gun owners. He also has a 2nd home in Palm Bch which he uses more now that he's done with ABC. Now that he's running for office he'll give up these past times with family and friends to serve the good people of PA.. The absentee ballots are a joke! They actually allow you to drop them off at polling locations now- but you can only drop your own ballot off. If you drop someone else’s off it is disallowed. Now how much sense does that make? If you can find a way to make it to a polling location to drop your ballot off, then what is preventing you from walking a few more feet over to the machine and voting? You just can’t make this stuff up!

They also reported there were precincts that were turning people away because they didn’t have enough pre-printed ballots. Now how does that happen?! Wouldn’t they know exactly how many registered voters there are in that precinct and make sure they have enough ballots? And people wonder why some of us are skeptical of the system..............

From: BowSniper

I would think that a government run 'disinformation czar' that gets to decide what is true or false to support and further the government's agenda is ALSO a formula for dictatorship.

As would be ballot harvesting, or adding millions of illegal immigrants into the country to boost future voter rolls, or adding trying to add states to control the senate, or suggesting adding justices to control the courts. From: BowSniper
19-May-22
Dana - did sowing distrust in the democratic process start back in the 2000 election when Dems would not accept that Gore lost, and vandalized government computers to steal the "W" keys to spite Bush who legitimately won??

Or did sowing distrust start in 2016 when Hillary lost and the Dems began their #resist and #notmypresident movement, and refused to actually call Trump "Mr President" even though he legitimately won? Do you remember when Hillary called Trump an "illegitimate president" and her supporters spit on Trump guests and attacked congressmen attending his Inauguration???

Things have now devolved even further, and I am not a bit surprised. Out of 75 million Trump voters, how many do you think believe we did not have a free and fair election (half)???

And given the Democrat's unhinged vitriol in 2016... the investigations, the two failed impeachments, the FISA wiretaps and classified leaks ALL meant to overthrow Trump as the legitimately elected 45th President.... how do you think things will ever return to normal? Because those 30-50 million citizens called 'deplorable' will NEVER forget how they were treated.

I am saying your camp went too damn far attacking Trump and his supporters in 2016, treating parents like terrorists, branding any other opinion as racist white nationalists. Bad is good. Men are women. Right is wrong. The system is now collapsing, faster and faster.

The pendulum swung sooooooo far left in 2020 that it flew off the clock, out a window, into the street, and got run over by a truck. We all KNEW he was a doddering incoherent old man, and that the radical leftists would control him. We all KNEW he was weak and our enemies around the world could see it. We all KNEW he would not unite us and only further divide us. Yet you gleefully let this happen, and all for petty spite.

So yeah, when Mayorkas let's 10 million more illegals pour in during Bidens term, that is on YOU. When murder rates in every city go up under an anti-police agenda that is on YOU. Gas hikes, food shortages, war in Ukraine, transgender lifestyles taught to our kids, mandatory masks and vaccines, a nuclear Iran... all on YOU. Paxton argues that "fascism redrew the frontiers between private and public, sharply diminishing what had once been untouchably private. It changed the practice of citizenship from the enjoyment of constitutional rights and duties to participation in mass ceremonies of affirmation and conformity. It reconfigured relations between the individual and the collectivity, so that an individual had no rights outside community interest. It expanded the powers of the executive—party and state—in a bid for total control.”

I think the root cause of inflation is the initial and continued response to covid as well as certain policies since to include energy.

remember two weeks was supposed to flatten the curve. the people that came up with it were 'experts' and are paid a ton of money. i wish i could fail at my job like this and continue to keep it with no consequences.

the ability of people to think critically, and what once was referred to as common sense, is now a thing of the past for the most part. that was/is part of the plan it seems, the latest example is the availability and response to baby formula. smh.

Ryan,

Irresponsible monetary and fiscal policies are the cause of current inflation. The pandemic was just a contributing factor.

I would normally say stick to your field of biology, but since your party now pushes men can get pregnant and have abortions, my advice is to leave your joke of a party.

EDIT:Ryan, pushing absurdities like men can get pregnant, is the attempt to have people believe there are no truths. If that happens, we will be doomed. As an example, your comment that no one has been critical of Trump on this site. Patently false, and you had to know it when you wrote it!

And before you come back with the truth about the election, I have been consistent in criticizing falsities. That said, trying to push on young kids the idea they can choose their gender is a much greater danger than an old narcissist is to our future.

Frank, Mr. Syracuse, lord of the classroom

From: BowSniper

A huge chunk of inflation is driven by energy/gas prices. And an administration that has from day one has been dedicated to phase out oil/gas/coal to satisfy the cult of global warming theory.... even before any alternate is readily available... is PRIMARILY responsible for the rise in energy prices. If anyone REALLY feared global warming they would demand China and India reduce emissions immediately, ramp up fracking and nuclear energy, stop flying around to climate meetings in private jets, and if you REALLY thought the water levels were rising, you wouldn't be buying beachfront property (Obama).

EVERYTHING we see is a power play for greed and control. Global warming is an exaggerated irrational fear for political gain, as was the response to covid. And it all circles back to the root cause and effect of this weaponized political over-reach. TRUMP. Trump is the by product of democratic weaponization of the news, social media, environment, education, even forcing wokeness on our military.... every aspect of American life as we knew it. MAGA grows from that, and Trump happened to be the common man's flag hugging symbol of rebellion. He isn't the messenger we wanted, but he turned out to be the messenger we needed. In 2016, his unexpected win shocked the political elite to their core... never forget the leaked Clinton emails that showed the DNC was working with the media to steer the GOP nomination towards Trump and Cruz thinking they would be easier to beat!!! In 2016 the Dems and their media cronies were scheming to control the GOP nomination without our knowledge. In 2024 they are actively working to prevent us from even having the option to select MAGA candidates using the Jan 6th hearings and an obscure amendment to again control who gets to be the GOP candidate. People are really starting to wake-up and actively rebel.

Given the level of MAGA and TDS we can even see here, I don't see how the country survives. Without free and fair elections, this quaint little experiment in democracy is doomed. And some 30-50 million 'deplorable' voters now see the whole thing as a scam. You don't think that number is going to be even bigger in 2024?!?! There is no putting the toothpaste back in this tube.

The republicans can't win the presidency again because the 2/3 MAGA camp is never going to vote for the 1/3 establishment camp, and the TDS crowd is never voting MAGA. The Dems will vote together for power and control no matter what, and then fight among themselves over how far left they land. With Biden barely coherent, they damn near have him dressed in a black antifa outfit. And Kamala is even worse.

So think carefully what this petulant TDS rage is going to bring. Because its COMING!!

Just as the old establishment GOP is now gone so is the Blue Collar Democrat of my father and grandfather.

The teachers Union's must be dismantled. Now way would I have my child in a public school in many many states. They left has gone off the edge and will try and burn as much down as possible before the new congress is sworn in Jan 2023. Dano

Objectively, net, Trump's movement fertilizes the tree of libery, Biden's is akin to 3 doses of Round Up... so far.

If the best you can do to defend your position, choices, beliefs, political standing, and their real effects on our society is, 'the country will probably survive me/us/him/glyphosate'? You should do a deep dive and reassess as objectively as possible. If possible. That's on you. Things are worse than you're able to admit.

TDS is blinding in some, even still.

Agree 100% BowSniper! To blame the mess we are now in on TRUMP is utterly rediculous!

+1 for Jeff D.

Blaming Trumps personality for the mess China Joe has us in, is the ultimate in deflection! This absolves them of any responsibility for casting a vote in support of the destruction of America. Hillary already got caught lying about Russia, yet they think they can police misinformation?! The Democrats and all that support them, are probably the biggest purveyors of dis/misinformation. The crazy thing is how many people lap it up and fall in line cuz …Orange man bad!

How many of you guys are nervous about the fact that we can get pregnant? I’m going to have to choose a C section. I don’t believe a newborn baby can fit thru a 1/4” wide flexible tube without a few complications. But don’t listen to me. I may be spreading misinformation!

"No way Joe Biden got 80 some million votes."

As was pointed out above, it wasn't just Dems. Add in millions of never-Trump Republicans, independents, libertarians and people who just plain disgusted by the lying blowhard, and 80 million is easy to believe. I had a hard time believing 75 million were taken in by this carnival huckster.

Huckster? Pot, meet Kettle.

80 million real votes for Grandpa Badfinger is IMPOSSIBLE to believe. Nobody does. Not even you. He couldn't get a baker's dozen to a single friggin rally, INCLUDing staff and the fake news media. Trump had over 60,000 in attendance in my itty bitty hometown of 18,000 pop. Xiden is illegitimate and anyone who stands up for him something less

Yup, Trump had 60000 at a super-spreader event during a pandemic but you can't understand why people voted against him. And this after he dam' near died of covid. Jenius at wurk.

Give me the MAGA platform, I support;

limited government, Secure borders, free markets, strong military, constitutionalist judges, parental control of their kids' educations, secure elections, sanctity of life, private medical choices, free speech, gun rights including carry in all 50 states, private retirements, competitive health care not controlled by a single payer, private property rights, killing wokism,

what did I miss?

Give all of that to me, but if you believe DJT is the only person capable of leading us to these worthy goals, then you suffer as much from TDS as does the loony left. He is now hurting more than he is helping, he laid out a great road map, the message is great, the messenger not so much. Keep clinging to him, I honestly think that is your strategy to keep conservatives from dominating against the craziness so you can complain and try and incite some revolution you have convinced yourselves is needed to get us to a place that never was except in your minds.

It is not just election time that matters, we have some real heroes right now. Parents refusing to be silenced any longer by out of control school boards is the perfect example. It is easy to blame Biden and national figures for everything, but all of this social nonsense begins on a local level. Have the courage to challenge the lunacy, peacefully, not like the BLM does, or just keep complaining on sites like this.

I am in education. I refuse to use pronouns. Call me by my name or the other alternatives listed above. Doing these small things gives others the courage to join. Refuse to be silenced, and I don't mean by talking to the choir. Take some risk where and when it counts.

Sorry, I wanted to stay out of this stuff, but feel like time is now of the essence. Men getting pregnant ought to be the line in the sand for all of us sane people!

IMO, the Democrats have moved into the Socialist slot and the Republicans have moved into the Statist slot. Even though there a few constitutionally minded folks in Congress the powers that be could care less about the constitution. It's nothing new. As far back as WW1 we have moved progressively toward big government and most Americans don't even realize it ..Democrats or Republicans. The government controls nearly every area of our life. Talk about the economy...if the gov would just get the hell out of the private sector the economy would boom. Stick to the basics...protecting innocent life and maybe a real justice system where people that choose to put something into their body aren't imprisoned...I'm not talking about violent offenders either. Abortion should be illegal because of the Right to Liberty, Life, and the pursuit of happiness. Quit trying to police the world, encourage legal immigration, secure our borders, get rid of the current Federal Income Tax. Interpret the constitution for what it says and don't twist and distort it. Quit blaming what some people do on the guns and accept the fact that you shouldn't punish the innocent for what evil people do. Get rid of Social Security( legalized extortion). Get the Federal gov out of marriage, education, ect. There was a time when slavery was legal in this country..due to twisting and distorting the constitution. Frederick Douglass quote: " the problem is not the constitution, but the interpretation of it".

State has got a serious problem with free and fair voting.

Frace did a 32 million voter recount in one day and that's France for crying out loud.

Penn may want to look how GA took care of their crooked counties. So far its been smooth sailing down there. We will see when tonight's numbers come in how it actually went. Either way, Abrams is unopposed. Get herself ready to defend her last GA Gov win I guess. Either way your going to see her run for POTUS in 24. That's going to be Rich. Two time Gov of GA "in her mind" running for the big prize.

PA is a laughing stock when it comes to voting. Philadelphia is notorious for cheating. I wonder why a republican never gets elected to local office there?? Our state instituted mail in voting during covid. I heard this morning that McCormick is suing to have mail in ballots that were undated counted. Unbelievable. That is something the democrats would do.

From: Rut Nut

Yep, they need to get rid of the mail in voting except in “hardship” cases.

We probably won’t know the outcome until June 8th. That is the deadline by Pa State Law.
