I notified a HOWL rep thru Rokslide about an issue regard the re-listing of Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area to a National Park. This would result in the loss of ~70K acres in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that is currently open to hunting. His attitude was such that if there isn't a bill up for vote or a politician that is pushing for it, there was no point in alerting their members.
I sent him various links of how the Sierra Club is pushing for this to be redesignated in this legislative session along with the NJ congressman pushing for it. I also let him know that it most likely would not be a stand alone bill, but attached to a appropriations bill (like New River Gorge) as a single line item.
He had zero interest. Apparently I have zero understanding of how any of this works and while I have "passion" I need to let those who know how the system works, do their job.
