Talking good at night in UT. Hot days have the daytime activity suppressed.

Lot of bulls bugling where I am in northern CO. Lot of elk. Hot and dry so surprised they are as active. Even starting up as early as 4pm.

Man they were going off all night in my field…..saw one of the best bulls I’ve seen in my unit this am (solid 380”) pushing cows. Super early here.

Maybe early, but most calves will be born on same week or close to it…Lol :-)

Southwestern Wyoming was spotty all last week until like Wednesday evening/Thursday as the Temps dropped but in came that dang thick smokey air. Certainly, more bugling now.

Just finishings up my 2nd bought of Covid in Mid-August and the last thing I need is thick smokey air to breath in on damage lungs!

Good luck, Robb

One good bull bugling in MT this morning. He was chasing his cows trying to keep them in line. He was done by 7:30 AM or so. The side by that drove into the canyon didn't help. Lost track of him afterwards.

Went from the 1st to the 8th. It was hot for most of it and it has been dry for several weeks. Not a single bugle during daylight and only a few after dark. Heard wolves howling close by, three of the nights. Had one 5X5 slip in close to us quietly, but has to have at least six on one side. Saw one cow during the day. Last year, same place, similar conditions, bulls were loud and aggressive.

Going back Tuesday and hoping they are willing to play along this time.

Mostly quiet in Western MT. I got one to bugle and that was it.

Heard bugles on every hunt so far in NoCo. Swirling winds saved another bulls life yesterday morning…

Going nuts near Sheridan Wyoming this past week! I don’t think a minute went by the first and last three hours of daylight without a bugle.
