I have 13 grandkids. When at my house they love to shoot. The oldest is 13 and I want to get her set up to hunt. With that many kids finances are tight. What youth bow packages have you used? I have been looking at Bear and Diamond. Any other recommendations?

St Joe River has a great longbows for youth archery. They also have an upgrade program where when your little grows out of the bow, you can trade it for a new one and they give you cash for your used bow.

My boys have started out with Bear.
The first was a Cruzer Lite. It had been renamed/replaced by the Royale.
This bow is highly adjustable in both draw length and weight for growing kids. However, it may be a tad too small for a 13 yr old?

If you’re buying several diamond is probably the way to go. If I were buying for 1 kid I think I’d get the elite ember. I have a Hoyt ruckus and a bear cruzer lite. I think the bear is not the bow that the diamond, Hoyt, elite bows are. If you’re buying 12 it might be adequate to get started and then see which ones need an upgrade in a couple years.

I like Diamond bows for their adjustability and reasonable pricing. My granddaughter has had one for years and my backup bow is also one. l would also look at PSE. Agree with what Link said.

Last year I bought my 13 year old grandson a Bear Legit RTH. The bow adjusts from 14-30”, and the draw weight from 20-70#. It comes with a Whisker Biscuit rest, a 4 pin Trophy Ridge sight, a 5 arrow quiver, a D-loop, stabilizer, and peep sight, all for around $400. Great starter bow until he gets older and maybe upgrade to a flagship bow.
