Governor John Conally said once that the Democrat Party had moved to the point of being more Socialist/Communist that he left the party.
I feel basically the same way about the Republican Party, they don't know what they stand fir. With the Democrats, at least they have no problem voicing their love for Socialist, Marxist ideals. I don't think there are very many real Liberals or real conservatives left in DC.
Problem is 1 side seems to lean Socialist and the other Authoritarian. It's a problem.

Trump did some good things for this country, but at the end of the day he was another big government Republican president....big government in different ways than the left but still big government.
No president will ever please everyone all the time. I love Liberty...the Neo Cons say I can't be free unless I give up my rights in exchange for protection. The left says I have to give up my rights for other people's benefit.
Maybe I'm a simpleton, but I believe the government should serve at a minimal capacity. Omar and the like are a threat to Liberty but so are the Hawkish, Neocon Republicans.
It's nothing new though, it's been a battle right out of the gate for this nation. I do believe from 1913 forward it has certainly escalated as far as losing liberties go, and even further back than that for black people in America.
I love America but I'd love to see this nation have real freedom.
I voted/vote for candidates from Democratic, Repuican, and Libertarian parties. That's the only way I've found to even come close to voting a ticket I can live with. And even with that it isn't a guarantee.
In my view if you vote a straight ticket for any party you are you g to be voting for some folks who aren't fit to hold public office. You have effectively compromised your vote. Kind of makes your vote only half good.

Marxism, Communism, Facism isn't compatible with the US constitution...and all those systems of government I just listed are present in both of our political parties.
I believe folks should have the right to worship, think, express themselves how they choose..even consume substances into their body that they choose. I detest a lot of things in our culture but I also want people to have the right to say what they want and live how they choose.
The moment you harm another individual or put them in harms way you step into a whole other world.
For me it's simple, uphold the constitution for all..most folks like myself just want to be left alone.
There's a difference in having different opinions vs wanting to tear down the rights of US citizens.
I would never argue against abortion in a court of law based on any religious beliefs, even though I do believe contrary to God's word. You don't have to be a Chrsitian to support the protection of the innocent. You don't have to be a Christian to support laws against rape, murder ,theft, pedophilia, extortion,ect.
Basic laws that should be enforced to protect US citizens. Omar, along with a lot of politicians support defending the police, there's a reason why..she is a Marxist and that is a Marxist tactic. Create chaos, then move in with Federalized control. Leftist are not the only ones that engage in this tactic.
I personally know police officers. The vast majority are good folks that just want to do their job and go home to their families. Yes, there are some bad ones but the percentage of bad ones are a very small percentage when compared to most other professions..like politicians.
