I made a batch of brats last night. It turned out pretty good.
I really like the taste of the Kirkland brats. The recipient I used yesterday was quite a bit different on the flavor.
Does anyone have a spice blend they use that’s similar to the Kirkland brats?
I would also love to hear any other favorite spice blends you guys like for brats.
Was planning to do another batch tonight.

2 cups Ice (crushed) 1 ½ tablespoons Salt ¼ cup Dried Milk Powder 1 ½ teaspoons White Pepper (freshly ground) ¾ teaspoon Black Pepper (freshly ground) 1 teaspoon Ground Mace (can substitute nutmeg but strongly recommend mace for traditional German flavor) 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger 1 teaspoon Dried Marjoram ¾ teaspoon Mustard Powder ¼ teaspoon Ground Cardamom ¼ teaspoon Ground Coriander ¼ teaspoon Caraway Seeds (crushed)

Hi Mountain seasoning mix with a good dark beer substituted for the water, plus wild rice to keep the moisture level up when cooking(1/4 cup per pound). Simple and great tasting. Oh, and I always buy fresh casings from the local butcher.
