Ive been trying to book a Muskox hunt ASAP. I went to LINGSHUNTINGGREELAND.com Asked for booking info, did not get a response. I also sent emails to Kirsten & again no response. I want to book a warm weather Muskox bow hummus soon as possible. Im told Lings-Hunting is the place to go. Can anyone tell me how to contact this outfitter??
Are you set on Greenland?
PM me your email and I’ll give you the contact information. I’m heading up there in three weeks. They really prefer working through Booking Agent but I’ll give you the Booking Agent information as well as the phone number for karstens wife.
Bowsite sponsor is Frank Feldmann of Bowhunting Greenland. Certainly another option, and there are many successful hunt reports with bowsite guys here who have hunted with Frank.
Frank x 2. Great guy and great operation.
Does Frank Feldmann outfit out of Greenland?
Yes. He hunts out of the same town as Kirsten Ling, but takes a helicopter to his hunting area. Highly recommended. I think Bou has also hunted with him.
Stekewood's Link
Yes, Frank outfits in Greenland and is outstanding. See the link for info.
Frank is fantastic. I hunted with him in 2019. First group in on his helicopter hunt. Great in all regards. He is also now $3,000 more expensive for for a single muskox ($13,950) than Lings is for 2 ox or an ox and caribou ($11,100). They are $8,100 for single ox. Lings is very well spoken of. Boat accessed tent camp vs. helicopter accessed tent camp. Family operation. I would have loved to have gone back with Frank, but this time I am paying for two hunts, son and me, so the total package was just not reasonable in the face of other options .
Additionally Frank charges $500 per trophy to ship back to Denmark (required) and Ling's is included in the already reduced price of the hunt.
Any possibility they will let me use my longbow there yet?
Would have done that hunt a long time ago if I could use my bow… The way the prices have gone up and still not allowed to hunt them with a longbow I will probably never go.
Not likely Tavis. They would first have to allow caribou hunting with trad gear, then move on to the bigger stuff
Karsten is not a tech guy . When I found him I actually called directly to his home and spoke to him..He is a hard guy to get ahold of… this time of year I’m sure he’s out in the field.
Not sure who he’s using as a booking agent now I believe Chris muller in PA.
Karsten is great and his hunt is several thousand less than Frank Feldmans…
Two “severals” actually. 8100 vs 13950 for single ox hunt.
Personally me thinks that would be akin to shooting one of my buddies moo cows!

As of this morning Hunt Nation is advertising a last minute Northwest Territories hunt for this fall.
Hawken, I just walked over 100 miles of tundra in 6 days in Nunavut. Killed my Muskox on day 6 at 9:30 pm. It's not the same as shooting your buddy's moo cows.
Karsten Lings is the real deal.
Let’s see some pics, Bou!
Thanks for sharing!
That looks like a fantastic adventure
I have a question, does the Greenland musk ox count towards the grand slam
Yes it does count.
The bigger win is the Pope and Young count the caribou in Greenland as Central Canada Barren ground. So the combo ox/caribou hunt is cheaper than a CCBG in Canada…
I may need to take my boys there for an adventure!
Good stuff, Bou! Brings back a lot of good memories.
Good stuff! I'm there next year
Yes, brings back a lot of memories! Those young guys carrying half an ox with just a strap across their forehead was unbelievable!!
Great pictures Grant! Thanks for posting them!!
Very cool! Are those boats made of plywood??
Extremevft1……wasn’t just those young guys packing out those crazy loads. Karsten was no slouch, either. Still amazes me.
APauls…..I can’t remember for sure, but I believe they were. We hunted out of plywood freighter canoes, on a couple of Q/L caribou hunts on Hudson Bay, too.
Grant... how comfortable were those beds?!?
Beds were mattresses not cots. Flush toilets in tent camp. Boats fiberglass hand crafted they ran on jet motors in 8 inches of water.
