For the 1st time the Speaker of the House has been ousted. Is this a subject being avoided due to the Republicans can’t agree and govern. The only thing that would pass the House would be a vote for a pay raise. This isn’t a Democrat conspiracy this mess is on the Republicans. We need a functioning two party system. We need both parties to start working together for the people instead of this political BS.

No, we don’t. This so called working together is how we’ve gotten into this mess. Working together means coalescing to progressive insanity.

Line item spending measures, massive budget cuts. That’s just a small part of what we need.

The part nobody seems to understand, as far as the Feds go, we have a constitution. It is the literal rule book of what the federal government is allowed to do. If it isn’t in the constitution, such as HUD, PED, CDC, WIC, SNAP any foreign aid needs to be eliminated. ANYTHING, not outlined in the constitution that is enacted upon wether democrat or republican is wrong. It’s that simple.

What we need is to clean house. Republicans do a good enough job messing up their own party without anyone's help. Both parties are pathetically corrupt. Look at our nation...We've become almost a full fledged Marxist/Socialist government. The sad part is a large percentage of Americans vote for this crap.

Isn't much difference at all between the 2 parties. Politically speaking the only thing that will help this country is to move toward a very limited government and let there be a real free market and real liberty.

A lot of people are afraid of real freedom and the Republican Party is not the savior politically speaking.

You will never tax or regulate your way to prosperity...ain't gonna happen.

This is probably gonna turn out to be a good thing in my opinion. The Dems were so stupid to for for getting rid of McCarthy he was on their ignorant way of thinking. They simply voted against him because of party affiliation. Once again proving no common sense in their party.

Now nothing will get done and the government will shut down if they get a conservative thinker as speaker. It will be just like when Trump was president be my guess.

You guys better get your 401s. Lined out with cash with interest or you’re guaranteed to lose it all in about 6 months or less. This is going to take the market belly up. Someone write it down and start another thread about the market crash of 24.

Pelosi lied to McCarthy saying she and her fellow Democrats would back him up if this vote ever happened. Hence, she got kicked out of her office as payback. The Democrats thought McCarthy would go to them hat in hand to get their votes to be reelected speaker but McCarthy shafted them by dropping out of the race freeing up Scalise and Jordan to run thereby getting a more conservative speaker hopefully.

Very interesting take on it soccer.

Obama stopped a Ukraine invasion with threats of economic sanctions, and Trump stopped it with military threats. The blueprint had been made for biden to stop it with 2 different methods but when Russia put troops on the border he did nothing.

Due to the blatant allowance of the invasion I kind of just thought biden was an idiot for not stopping it... but you're postulating it was on purpose so that we could weaken Russia without actually going to war with them or imposing sanctions. Very clever! I may not have given biden enough credit.

05-Oct-23
The leftists will miss McCarthy. And will soon regret not backing him. He was very moderate. Jim Jordan won’t be sending support for the Ukraine money laundering slush fund. And won’t be as easy to push around, because he has broader Republican support. At least for now.

Soccer23 is a liar. The whole Matt Gaetz sex thing was a fabrication. It was a lie.

There were no lewd sex acts committed in the theater.

There were two legitimate negotiations on the table between Putin and Zelenskyy and they were torpedoed by the former British prime minister, at the behest of the UN. The UN should have done something to stop the invasion. It is not the US taxpayers responsibility to defend other countries.

Biden allowing the pipeline to be finalized and between Russia and Germany allowed Putin to start cashing in. The US was still buying Russian oil until the admin was called out on it. Biden is literally funding both sides of the war.

soccer, you're right... my quick internet search didn't come up with Trump threatening military action to Russia due to Ukraine. Maybe I thought he did because it seemed like he used that threat a lot?

Ultimately both presidents previous to biden had to deal with Russian aggression towards the Ukraine and both prevented it (admittedly Crimea was successfully annexed by Russia during Obama's term). No clue what was said in closed doors between Trump and Putin, but Putin didn't invade under his watch. Instead he waited until biden was in office to place troops on the border and ultimately invade. Maybe that's just coincidence? I'm still intrigued in your suggestion that we're funding this war to weaken Russia and strengthen Ukraine. As said before, I had not thought of it that way but it would make a lot of sense that biden didn't threaten sanctions or military action if that was his plan all a long.

" GOP aims fire at Gaetz after McCarthy ouster"

House Republicans are aiming their fire at Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) after the congressman staged a successful effort to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Speaker, sharply criticizing the Florida Republican for teaming up with Democrats to boot the GOP leader and hurling personal insults his way.

Taking matters a step further, at least two GOP lawmakers have said Gaetz should be booted from the House Republican Conference, an unlikely outcome that, nonetheless, underscores the raw frustration — and anger — with Gaetz among members of his party.

The amped-up rhetoric comes as the House GOP conference is being forced back into square one — electing a new Speaker — as the government shutdown clock ticks down to the fast-approaching Nov. 17 funding deadline.

The converging dynamics have House Republicans starting to lash out — with Gaetz taking a large chunk of the heat.

“Matt Gaetz just got schooled by AOC and others; he was totally manipulated into doing this,” Rep. Garret Graves (R-La.), a close McCarthy ally, told reporters Wednesday. “There were eight so-called Republicans that got together with 208 Democrats to oust the Republican Speaker.”

“I can’t believe he’s that stupid to be used, to be manipulated by AOC and others to create this outcome,” he added.

Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) said Gaetz’s move to eject McCarthy from the Speakership amounted to “one of the greatest acts of heresy.”

“He’s literally taken one of our oldest institutions and put it into a downward spiral, all over selfish needs, all over Twitter feeds and raising money,” D’Esposito said during an interview on CNN.

McCarthy, during remarks following Tuesday’s vote, said Gaetz’s effort was “personal” and “all about getting attention” from the press.

In a historic vote Tuesday, the House voted to oust McCarthy from the Speakership, putting an end to his nearly nine-month tenure on the job that had been defined by his efforts to manage the party’s right-flank in the face of growing threats to his gavel.

Eight Republicans, led by Gaetz, voted with all Democrats in the chamber to boot McCarthy, bringing the final tally to 216-210. It was the first time since 1910 that the House voted on a “motion to vacate the chair” and the first time such a motion has succeeded.

McCarthy then announced he would not run for Speaker again, setting off a scramble in the GOP conference over who will succeed the California Republican in the top spot. In the meantime, Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) was named Speaker pro tempore and will preside over the House, but the chamber is unable to conduct legislative business until a new Speaker is chosen.

Immediately after the vote Tuesday, Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) told reporters that Gaetz should be removed from the House GOP conference, adding “he’s not a Republican.”

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) — who said Tuesday that he would have hit Gaetz “square between the eyes” with the Speaker’s gavel — echoed Bacon’s sentiment Wednesday, saying he believes the Florida Republican should be kicked out of the conference.

Punchbowl News reported Wednesday night that Lawler said he is considering offering a motion to expel Gaetz from the group.

To be sure, booting Gaetz from the House GOP conference would be a heavy lift, requiring agreement from two-thirds of members. Asked about expelling Gaetz from the conference, Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.) questioned if his Florida colleague broke any rules.

“We don’t kick people out ‘cause we don’t like ‘em,” Armstrong said. “God, we’d be doing that every morning in conference.”

Graves also brushed aside questions about potentially ousting Gaetz from the conference, saying it would have to be a decision for the group to make.

Gaetz, for his part, is disregarding the criticism being directed toward him. Asked about Lawler’s “square between the eyes” comment and if he expects to be expelled by the conference, Gaetz returned fire.

“I think that that was a very frustrated person who’s having to come to grips with the stages of grief,” Gaetz told Bloomberg TV of Lawler.

“I’m not much for political violence; I don’t want to hit anybody,” he later added. “If Mike Lawler comes at me with a gavel, I’m not entirely sure that would concern me, but that’s not the direction I think we ought to go. I think we ought to maybe craft a budget before an attack strategy.”

Gaetz has also drawn substantial criticism from Republicans for fundraising off of his effort to oust McCarthy. Graves presented a screenshot of a fundraising blast that he says Gaetz — whom he called a clown — sent out during debate on his motion to vacate.

He accused the Florida Republican of capitalizing on a “manufactured crisis.”

“If we’re gonna continue to have clowns like Matt Gaetz as part of the Republican conference, as part of this Congress, then you’re gonna have to have rules in place that prevent him from doing his charade every single week, every single month, where he goes out and he does his thing where he creates some manufactured crisis … does his manufactured crisis using official government resources, official government actions, manufactures a crisis and then goes and sends out fundraising emails off of the crisis manufacturer,” Graves said.

“I think this should be illegal. I think people should be in jail for this crap.”

“I mean, we’re getting email fundraisers from him as he’s doing it. Join in quickly,” McCarthy said Tuesday, referring to Gaetz’s motion to vacate-related fundraising efforts. “That’s not governing; that’s not becoming of a member of Congress.”

And Gaetz is facing claims of hypocrisy.

The Florida lawmaker for weeks had been heightening his threat to force a vote on confiscating McCarthy’s gavel, warning the then-Speaker that he would face a motion to vacate if he relied on Democrats to pass a continuing resolution — which the California Republican did last weekend to avert a shutdown. Gaetz, instead, wanted the chamber to pass all 12 appropriations bills.

D’Esposito said Gaetz criticized McCarthy for working with Democrats, but “yesterday he worked with Democrats, some of the most progressive and far-leaning left in the conference, in order to take Kevin McCarthy out. He is by every stretch of the definition a complete hypocrite.”

McCarthy’s ouster came three days after he put the continuing resolution on the floor.

The successful motion to vacate has put the House at a standstill, with legislative business — including the appropriations process — unable to proceed until a new Speaker is chosen, a reality that is causing concern with lawmakers as they race the clock to fund the government ahead of next month’s shutdown deadline.

“There’re 12 appropriations bills, those bills are all moving. Now, the ones that aren’t moving, it’s for one reason: It’s because Matt Gaetz and some of the cronies have single-handedly prevented or obstructed those from moving forward,” Graves said Wednesday.

The Louisiana Republican re-upped a familiar metaphor he has used to describe the GOP rabble-rousers.

“Once again, the arsonists who lit their house on fire, who whined about their House being on fire, who put out the fire, wants credit for it, and sets up a GoFundMe site to get paid for it,” he said. “Complete hypocrisy.”

Yep the Reps are in disarray and now more than ever we need then to combat the ridiculous policy fails of the Democrats.

4 recent studies show Bidenomics a total fail and the root cause of our massive inflation. …you Dems stupidly patting yourselves on the back own that.

Not that we needed Economists to tell us $5 trillion in Dem Giveaways- was going to blow up inflation and weaken the whole middle and lower class.

Dem voters din!t know better, they love their not so free lunch and are fooled by Dem taxing the Big Bad Corporations- which is an expense passed in to consumers.

If the US voter was smarter, the Dems wouldn’t be able to fool them so easily.

Look up the studies including our own SL Fed in 2022 and references below. States that followed Dem policy did worse than conservative states and ignited inflation. —- Article: In late 2022, the Federal Reserve of St. Louis released a study noting that, on average, employment increased in states that refused to extend emergency jobless benefits.

Enhanced unemployment checks “permitted many recipients to collect unemployment benefits close to or above their pre-pandemic wage,” the St. Louis Fed concluded. “Therefore, many recipients had little or no monetary incentive to work. Termination of a state’s EUB programs cut or eliminated such generous benefits for many, which effectively restored the incentive for many to work.” A paper by three economists released last month reaches similar conclusions. “Using Current Population Survey data, we present difference-in-difference and event study estimates that the flow of unemployed workers into employment increased by around two-thirds following early termination,” note authors Michael R. Strain, R. Glenn Hubbard and Harry Holzer of Georgetown, Columbia and the American Enterprise Institute, respectively.

Observe: A pound of turkey breast went from $3.14 to $6.72, a 114% increase; A 4-pound bag of sugar went from $1.58 to $3.12, a 97% increase; A 64-ounce bottle of apple juice went from $1.18 to $1.98, a 68% increase; A standard bottle of honey went from $6.88 to $10.97, a 59% increase; A pound of ground beef went from $3.46 to $5.47, a 58% increase; A jar of applesauce went from $1.98 to $3.12, a 58% increase; A four-pack of Totino’s frozen mini pepperoni pizzas went from $4.88 to $7.64, a 57% increase; A box of Thai Kitchen stir-fry noodles went from $2.73 to $4.18, a 53% increase; A can of chunk chicken went from $3.98 to $5.98, a 50% increase; A jar of Hellmann’s mayonnaise went from $3.77 to $5.48, a 45% increase; A pack of bacon went from $11.98 to $16.48, a 38% increase; A loaf of Sara Lee bread went from $2.68 to $3.46, a 29% increase; and A pound of butter went from $2.98 to $3.68, a 23% increase. —-

If anything, flooding the general public with "free" money, under the guise of "Covid relief", when supply chains were at all-time lows, had the single largest impact on inflation, IMO. Our gov has lied to us about Bidenomics. Every single rosy picture BLS quarterly statement the Biden uses to make his claims has been revised down since his election- and in some cases drastically.

The Dem excuse makers claim Inflation is a result of Covid, which is inaccurate. Inflation is a function of the policy. Injecting almost $6 trillion directly into the economy during Covid is a policy decision. Artificially stimulating demand by handing out free money…while at the same time constricting supply ( with all of the Dem state shutdowns) caused the massive and persistent inflation we have now. Its Democrat policy clear and simple that caused the bulk of this.

There are 4 studies I know of backing this, one by our own St Louis fed in 2022….so its only the uninformed partisans clinging to the Dem politician lies that think things are rosy as ever.

The link to the Heritage Foundation article is informative for those that still think Bidenomics is working. In reality, its just digging a deeper hole all while ignoring massive illegal immigration and crippling crime…..Two more issues that are crippling our country due to Democrat policies.

A couple quotes from the article below;

And right now, only 46 percent of Americans say they could cover an unexpected $400 bill without taking on debt.

That’s not to mention that a majority are living paycheck to paycheck.

Credit card debt tops $1 trillion for the first time in U.S. history.

And, in the second quarter of 2023, 36 percent more people drained their retirement accounts to make ends meets, compared to the same period last year, according to Bank of America's analysis of its clients' employee benefits programs.

When Biden took office, Americans had $2.3 trillion in personal savings. That number shot up to $5.7 trillion following Biden's so-called “American Rescue Plan.”

Today, savings sit around a much diminished $862 billion. The average middle-class household has lost over $33,000 in real wealth in just the past year, according to one analysis.

Inflation spiked in March of 2021 as “Bidenomics” poured $1.9 trillion ( buying votes, thats what the Dems do) in completely unnecessary “pandemic relief” spending—for a COVID crisis that had effectively ended—on an American economy already in recovery. As a result, inflation exploded, and the country is now picking through the charred ruins.

Its easy to find a gov or Dem excuse maker study blaming a tight labor market for inflation- totally ignoring the trillions injected into a restrained environment like it had no effect. Seriously, Its hogwash for the sheeple.

From the link on cause of inflation;

The sum of new spending authorizations between 2020 and 2022 was a staggering $7.5 trillion—over $57,400 per household.

According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, roughly $700 billion (less than 10% of the total) was directed toward public health in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the spending spree focused on welfare expansions, cash handouts and opportunistic subsidies for a variety of special interests.

Badly flawed, Keynesian “stimulus” spending escalated even after the economy had stabilized in the summer of 2020.

Legislative packages passed in December 2020 and March 2021 combined to dump trillions of dollars into the economy. Such reckless, unrestrained spending was the definition of inflationary.

I'm not sure how you came up with the $6 trillion figure, but I distinctly remember Trump's signature was on many of the various Covid relief acts and legislature. The CARES act alone was $2.3 trillion. There were several others that either directly or indirectly artificially stimulated demand when there was no supply. How can you say it was mostly Democrat policy that injected the economy with "free money"?

Look, I'm not defending Biden in any way. In many ways I think he's been one of the most inept presidents of my lifetime. But, when people lay the blame for inflation solely on Biden, they are being disingenuous at best.

It's true that Trump was a big spender and he drove up the national debt. I didn't like that.

It's also true that personal responsibility is the reason for the high credit balances. We are combating human nature here, and tendency for most people think, "Oh nice, free money to spend" with the Dem policy to just give everyone freebies in exchange for votes. It sure seems the old saying 'save for a rainy day' is now, thats what I have credit cards for.

Congress can be the check and balance we need here. Much of the Dem spending was before we had a Rep Congress. Some of the spending was while we had a Rep congress just showing that Tax and spend is not exclusive to Democrats....Reps do it too.

If there ever was a time where we need to bring the gov back to the people with one and done term limits- it's now. Personally, I don 't think much will change unless we have a catastrophic event forcing change- again, due to the human nature thing.

The current Dem braintrust [Ha!] thinks we can appease and negotiate with these terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah- admirable but it's been proven time and again to be incredibly naive...and its currently put the world in a precarious position.

Is there anyone that doesn't think Hamas would unleash a nuclear bomb if they had one?

I know you libs hate law enforcement, but if you finish the wall, control the gates, and patrol the entire thing with law enforcement, (like it used to be) it will greatly reduce the number of illegal aliens from coming over with no consequences. "Threats fly as Jim Jordan's bid to be US House Speaker turns ugly

Republican lawmakers say they have been targeted by intimidation tactics, including death threats, from allies of Jim Jordan as his bid for the US House of Representatives speakership falters.

Several Republicans told reporters they had been subject to a pressure campaign by supporters of Mr Jordan, who lost a second vote for the gavel on Wednesday.

Mr Jordan, a right-wing Republican from Ohio, disavowed the harassment.

A hardline conservative revolt ousted the last Speaker on 3 October.

Marianne Miller-Meeks, an Iowa Republican, wrote in a statement on Wednesday that she had "received credible death threats and a barrage of threatening calls" after switching her vote to an alternative to Mr Jordan.

"One thing I cannot stomach, or support is a bully," she wrote.

Don Bacon, a Nebraska Republican who is a particularly vocal opponent of Mr Jordan, provided texts to Politico that appeared to show his wife being harassed by a supporter of the would-be Speaker.

"Your husband will not hold any political office ever again," one of the anonymous messages read. "What a disappoint [sic] and failure he is."

Mr Jordan denied any involvement in the pressure campaign.

I will never understand the reason behind folks that will never admit they are wrong....that it's been a disaster...and it's time to change tack.

In regards to the house- The Liberal Dem whiners of the world are missing a critical point here.

The majority of Reps have been voting along the lines of the Dems. Jim Jordon is entirely against that...and he is one of the more ethical members of Congress- a Boy Scout if you will. This flys in the face of the massive Lobbying and money being thrown at our legislators to vote or anything and everything that benefits big Pharma, etc.

I do think the is the main reason Jordan is having a hard time- he is less likely to allow the gravy train that is congressional lobbying. It's becoming increasingly obvious that there are only a handful of- somewhat- honorable politicians in our gov on both sides.

Admittedly, there are a couple of goof balls Reps in Congress- I have no problem with calling them out. How these people...along with Dem congress folks like AOC, Talieb, and the rest of the squad members get elected is beyond me.

So the lib dems of the world that grasp at every straw to avoid having to admit their ideology is total garbage are missing the point of the wrangling in Congress. Personally, I think one of our only hopes here is to get a Boy Scout in there with some power to slow the roll of these lobbyists.

Many may not know;

The first bill that Jordan introduced as a member of Congress — dubbed the “Clean Up Government Act” — sought to strengthen penalties for public corruption. It earned only three co-sponsors and failed to pass.

Unlike the lib dems of the world, Im not OK with corruption if its “my guy”

Oh so need to worry…the Liberal Dems say Biden isn’t senile- Ha. Credibility= gone.

As long as we have liberal Dems and Rino Republicans in charge, beholden to lobby $$$$$$ and throwing money at everything and anything with no fiscal responsibility- we are hosed.

Fact from our CBO;

Net interest on federal debt jumped 34% to $572 billion in the latest fiscal year according to the Congressional Budget Office, doubling the budget shortfall to a record $1.6 trillion from last year.

——

In the world of finance and budgets, a 34% increase in such a short time is a crushing number. Our gov will have to crank up the printing press even more which will only exacerbate inflation and our lower standard of living. Pair that with the huge added expenses of a massive influx of illegal aliens, wars and the current throwing money at every special interest- expect a continued downward spiral and probably a long grind 1970’s type inflationary environment.

Sorry for the rosy prediction, if anyone sees a way out of this, I’m all ears.

We can all weather this by cutting our expenditures- ( sorry Sitka) and pulling in our horns by not taking on more debt. Owning hard assets has been historically good. Planting a garden is always good- you get the idea.

The key here is we have to be smarter who we elect to represent us. An issue like championing LGBTQ has to change to doing whats right for the country as a whole- not just one special interest group. Hopefully we won’t have to hit rock bottom as voters to figure it out.

A huge blow to the pie in the sky Wind energy sector. Nevermind the many existing wind farms going bankrupt without Federal assistance to keep them afloat. More bad policy and wasted Taxpayer $$$$.

Democrats own the policy of pushing offshore wind farms on us.

From Orsted the outfit installing the offshore wind farms at Orsted.com, their 10Q report; ——— Therefore, as part of our ongoing review of our US offshore wind portfolio, we’ve decided to cease the development of Ocean Wind 1 and Ocean Wind 2. At the same time, we’ve taken final investment decision on the 704 MW Revolution Wind project, progressing it to the construction phase with an attractive forward-looking value creation.

“Based on the challenged US portfolio and the current market conditions, we’ve initiated numerous actions to ensure our capital structure and rating and to improve our competitiveness and value creation.” ——-

The wind farm in one of the windiest places on earth- mothballed and abandoned- a huge scar on the Hawaiian islands…but putting these things out in the ocean will work- ugh no, its another bad idea when we should be going nuclear.

I may be wrong, but from what I’ve read, there is not a wind farm that creates a profit without government supplements and credits to install and run. The wind farms in the CA Altamont where my buddy has been running cattle for decades have gone bankrupt at least twice that I know of. Each time a new outfit gets gov stimmy money to come in and get them going again. Meanwhile PGE the local power provider put a big surcharge on everyones power bill for renewable energy.

The Altamont windmills have done 2 retrofits- again that I know of from talking to the guys working there- in the last 20 years. It seems these windmills are good for about 5-10 years ( much shorter than the claim) and they are done. How can those numbers pan out?

For the record, I’ m for renewables where it makes sense- but that needs to be integrated into a spider web grid connected to nuclear for reliable power.

Democrat election fraud- is anyone surprised the Democrats cheated? Link at Zero Hedge has video of this Democrat cheating

The corrupt DOJ and partisan Dem state AG’s have tried to bury this..but there are still some impartial judges at the local level.

Bridgeport Election Overturned After City Official Pleads 5th To Ballot Harvesting

Bridgeport, Connecticut judge ruled on Wednesday to overturn the city's Democratic primary election after video emerged of a woman who appears to be the city's vice chair of the Democratic Town Committee, Wanda Geter-Pataky, committing ballot fraud.

In a 37-page ruling, Judge William Clark ordered a new Democratic primary based on 180 pieces of evidence presented by legal council for mayoral candidate John Gomes - who posted the following video to Facebook on September 16, and was seen by the court. ————

Heres another video, 15/20 different videos of ballot stuffing…..busted.

As Musk stated, this is just one location with an honest judge…in reality, how prolific is this across the US?

I’m surprised Schumer or Pelosi hasnt lobbied to have the mail slot enlarged…some of those cheaters had to stand there for awhile as their stacks of ballots wouldn’t fit through the slot.

Where is the Biden Infrastructure money going? Good question, it takes an act of god to get your FOIA request answered in this “Transparent” administration.

The liberal Democrats are using that money as a slush fund to prop up more bad policy decisions. It will be years before he find out how bad it really is.

From Real Clear website- While America struggles to buy groceries, President Joe Biden has a green slush fund worth billions of dollars, and he’s not afraid to use it.

Recent revelations uncovered that the CEO and lobbyists of Rivian, an electric vehicle manufacturer, held a quiet meeting at the White House with Biden’s Climate Czar, John Podesta. That’s right, the same John Podesta who served as chairman of Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated 2016 presidential campaign before being pulled from the ranks of profitable green consulting to oversee distribution of $369 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Biden selected a political operative with green company ties to dole out the goodies from one of the largest slush funds in history. Now green CEOs who are hemorrhaging cash are beating a path to his White House office, presumedly with hat in hand.

According to media reports, Rivian is deep in the red. Last year, they lost $6.8 billion. In 2021, it was $4.7 billion, which is in addition to the $1 billion lost in 2020. These massive losses happened as EV manufacturers enjoyed large subsidies both to build and sell their vehicles. In fact, President Biden went out of his way to praise Rivian in early 2022, even though their stock had already lost half its value on its way to losing 87% of its value since 2021. Losing over $12 billion in less than three years would normally be a problem in the business world, but in the upside-down reality of Biden’s green agenda, that gets you a meeting at the White House.

Tax dollars are flowing from the IRA so quickly that the Department of Energy’s Inspector General (IG) may be running out of adjectives.

“Bridgeport Election Overturned After City Official Pleads 5th To Ballot Harvesting”

Hogwash! Ballot harvesting is a conspiracy theory. Just ask the lefties here for their opinion of ‘1000 Mules’. They’ve got every excuse under the sun to prove it doesn’t happen.

Funny how they don’t talk about trumps Russia collusion anymore. They can’t stand the fact that they got caught trying to frame him. Trump is accused of trying start an insurrection, yet nobody is talking about the graffiti and vandalism to DC caused by the pro-Palestinian protests. The bias is obvious, which tells me they aren’t genuine in their outrage. But, that’s how the Dems roll!

I still don’t get the voter fraud argument. There is a paper ballot for every vote. Mail in votes are numbered and registered. Every investigation has been a bust when asked for evidence that there was fraud. It would take a lot of fraud to make a difference in the outcome of a election. Personally I don’t trust mail in ballots so I always vote at the voting centers.I always have to show ID and they mark me off when I vote with a paper ballot.

From: Beendare

There have been many documented cases of election fraud. Why did the investigations go nowhere? For the same reason the Hunter investigation stalled.

Many cases where ballots were harvested….ballots destroyed before independents could inspect….election monitors intimidated and forcibly removed. You think thats fair and equal justice?

This Bridgeport election fraud only got exposed because we have an honest local judge that wouldn’t allow it to be swept under the rug. Watch the youtube vid of twenty different ballot stuffers and you think this is the only spot? There are video interviews of a guy harvesting ballots for Omar with hundreds of ballots in his backseat- he admitted it…and no FBI investigation.

The only conclusion; state DA’s and Biden DOJ is political and crooked.

Why are J6’ers that walked in through open doors of the capitol facing prison terms…but the Palestinian protestors that actually disrupted Congress get nothing?

Every president takes docs…but they only prosecute Trump

Soros sponsored DA in Alameda county, Ca won’t prosecute 66% of violent crimes, intervened in a murder case and hired her BF to a $100k plus job-

When Enforcement is dirty, there is no legit elections.

The real mess in this country; The Teachers union...and the administrators running our Colleges and Universities along with many Teachers and Professors.

Illinois results are out, Only 35% of kids can read at grade level.....only 27% are at grade level Math.

Illinois cancelled the scholarship fund for 9,600 kids that gives kids a chance to attend Charter schools and escape the public school system.

Yeah, Charter school success make the public teachers look bad.....so what does the teachers union do- penalize the good kids. The same thing happened in the Oakland, Ca school system. They were using the Teach To One program....and there were kids going from 6th grade math to pre Calculus in one year.

Nope, Can't have that....they cancelled the program....the good kids were making the kids that didn't study look bad. Their solution, Teach to the lowest common denominator.

My heart goes out to the few good teachers left. Our education system needs a complete overhaul....but it won't happen with the amount of dead weight teachers and professors we currently have.

How can we look at what our schools and universities are producing and think it's working?

Haley scares me as she is in the mold of Newsom, Obama- very good public speakers that are foolers. Haley agrees with many of the principles of a world order as Obama did. A very bad strategy.

We need a strong fiscal conservative to right our ship. Democrats will never agree, they want their freebies and myriad of pork laden social programs. Ask yourself; out of all of the billions spent to supposedly help criminals, LGBTQ, the selective races, or just pick a special interest category- how much has that helped the US? Give aways don’t work…its the teach a man to fish programs that do.

The spending is out of control. All of the Dems and some of the Rinos are driving into a hole that will be tough to recover from. Sadly, I think most voters are too stupid to see this…they vote with their uninformed gut.

I do not 100% agree with Desantis on some issues, but he is a man of integrity and so far he has the best economic track record of any candidate. Ramswaramy talks a good game…but his track record is in business. I think Trump some very good policy but he overspent. What bothers me most about Trump is he is not a fiscal conservative…and his knee jerk comments and decision making.

Examples; He fired Tillerson ( and wouldn’t listen to him) all because of ego and he couldn't delegate. He made some bad decisions on Mueller, Fauchi, Barr, Wray. I think with more research, he would have found that all of those clowns are the wrong choice. Granted, Trump is a patriot….but its too much about him. IMO, Trump had his chance.

Auditors gave seven of the department’s 29 sub-agencies a clean audit in 2023, with no change from the 2022 audit, according to a Wednesday statement. Although it’s not a surprise that the DOD hasn’t yet been able to account for its $3.8 trillion enterprise and $4 trillion in liabilities, scattered across 50 states and 4,500 sites globally, DOD officials previously said they expected to see incremental improvement, Defense News reported. ———-

More mess from the Democrats;

Thanks to a Freedom on information request we find that Fauchi and the CDC lied about the Covid virus. They literally just made stuff up to suit their narrative…and this is just the first shoe to drop on this.

All of the insistence by the Dems running the show who were in bed with the big pharma companies- this is BS…what else did they lie about? Then there are ongoing studies showing loose DNA floating around in the Vax that could be causing us problems.

From articles on Epoch times and ZH, link is the original lie by the CDC;

In a new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now admits that it recommended COVID-19 vaccines for people who had recovered from COVID-19 despite the fact that CDC subject matter experts didn't have access to the underlying data.

The stunning disclosure came in reply to a FOIA request for information on the CDC’s claim, first made on Oct. 29, 2021, that unvaccinated people with previous infection were five times more likely to get COVID-19 than vaccinated people.

The CDC’s claim was based on a CDC study published in the Nov. 9, 2021, edition of the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The conflicts-of-interest section of the study had noted that a number of the study’s authors were being sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Merck, Sanofi, and GlaxoSmithKline. At least four of the listed pharmaceutical companies were involved in the manufacturing and sale of COVID-19 vaccines.

Dem policy and the Dem dominated Teachers union own this one. Will they learn or double down on their woke policy?

This weekend, the New York Times published a piece admitting that school lockdowns may have been the "most damaging disruption" to kids in U.S. history.

Titled "The Startling Evidence On Learning Loss Is In," the editorial board highlighted the "significant" learning loss from forcing over 50 million kids to stay out of the classroom, away from their peers, and instead learn from computers at home alone.

"The evidence is now in, and it is startling. The school closures that took 50 million children out of classrooms at the start of the pandemic may prove to be the most damaging disruption in the history of American education," the paper stated. Sounds like a strong argument against 'home schooling'. Or, 50 million kids didn't get the discipline to learn at home.

On the other hand, how many deaths were avoided by closing the schools?

i doubt it. parents who make the conscious decision to home school are some of the most involved parents there are in their kids education...a far cry from sending every kid home with a tablet and a zoom connection and saying good luck.

This is the self-fulfilling prophecy of Trump and the Trumpers just mindlessly fall for it. He predicts everything is rigged against him then he gets caught after the prediction. Sounds like every person who has ever went to prison.

They never stop to realize that there would have to be thousands of people working together and conspiring all while keeping it a secret. It's just Mind numbing...

When he gets to court it will just be him, lawyers, judge, and jury. No conspiracy just evidence. He's innocent until proven guilty but let the constitutional court process play out for goodness sake. And Trump is no innocent bystander. He creates his own weather the screams "rigged and witch hunt" when it rains.

Trump wants to piss on the constitution for ego and arrogance. Trumpers like his dog whistles about hate so much they too piss right along with him.

Defund the FBI/CIA and gut the DOJ. Back the blue my a#%.

I'm tired of hearing right wing nuts complain about the bias media when they use even more biased right wing news propaganda from gateway pundit, Fox News, Newsmax, OANN, ect. Street cops protect the citizens and communities. The three lettered agencies simply protect themselves and their cronies. Look up “Nancy Pelosi” for examples. Of course, if I’m not mistaken, not naming names; someone here claimed that trump had the DOJ in his pocket. If that were the case he wouldn’t be their number one target. But go on and believe what those credible news sources tell you to believe.

To pay for the new $100 million emergency fund dedicated almost entirely to asylum-seekers’ health care, the county will shift planned spending around, tapping leftover funds from 2022 to seed it. While that money was initially supposed to shore up pensions, the county will draw down its Pension Stabilization Fund instead. The change of plans doesn’t impact the county’s efforts to fully fund its pensions by 2047, budget officials say. __________ Or why Chicago Schools spend 40% more than other areas and students are at abysmal Math and Reading levels? Ricky- how the F do you know what I meant by "frustrating." It was sarcasm relating to your circular logic just like that buck walking circles. Just not quite getting there. LMAO. Something so minimal just like you.

That's the intellectual dishonesty with right wing nuts/Trumpers. Back the blue before J6 next they are beating a DC cop with a back the blue flag on the steps of congress. They rail against defund the police then Trump is indicted then it's defund the FBI/CIA and gut the DOJ. You want to split hair and mince words to justify the latter. It's the same coin different side and both as bad as the other. Full stop.

Equating all local riots to a riot and planned violent insurrection (as several members of J6 were convicted) to stop a constitutional process...it is NOT the same. If you don't understand the difference then either you want to or you're intellectually dishonest. You want to equate purposefully (for which Trump was found guilty/liable) cheating banks and the state of multimillions to average Joe inflating their home value for a bank loan. Sure a kid stealing a candy bar is the same as someone stealing a $250,000 car. Oh well it's all stealing...right. Just like in the classified documents case. You think intent has nothing to do with it. Giving back voluntarily when asked is the same as failing to comply with a subpoena and lying about it and bragging at parties about the countries nuclear secrets. There are degrees to all law violations and there always has been. They are not the same. But both are wrong.

This is what makes you intellectually dishonest. You split down to the very fines pieces or way over generalize whichever works for your narrative. That's your gig. You insinuate and dance around the edges so you can always fall back on "I didn't say that." Then you start kicking the horse and talking in circles. It's a form of cowardice if you ask me. Don't hide and dance on the edge just like that buck did LMAO. You're a closet bigot and a Trumper who tries to hide it. You're not very good at it either.

So, if you’re looking for a loan against your, say $500,000 house, and you tell the bank you think your house is worth $900,00, do they take your word for it and mold the loan around your personal assessment? NOPE, they get an appraisal, and they loan the money based on the value that appraisal provides. So there’s that. Plus, none of the banks lost any money to trump, and the loans were paid. Just another witch hunt! Letticia James vowed to take trump down, and the judge is smug left wing sympathizer.

I’m going to end my comments here citing the most factual footnoted article on the disaster that is Dem Climate Change policy I have seen, its on Real Clear titled, “Climate Enron may be headed for disaster” Democrat leaders like Obama and Biden have been lying to us and their policy is severely weakening the country.

The article outlines the idiocy, unintended consequences and total failure of the Dem Green initiative policy. The hacks behind this policy are a total joke. Many of their initiatives have gone down in flames after throwing $billions at them. They fail to address the 6,000 essential byproducts of oil we use every day….so what, we are supposed to drive on, gravel freeways vs asphalt? The article has many hyperlinks to factual sources.

Excerpts; During the Obama Administration, Solyndra went under despite a $535 million government-guaranteed loan, none of which was paid back. Forbes, citing OpenTheBooks.com, noted that taxpayers were left holding the notes for $400 million given to Abound Solar, $280 million wasted by CaliSolar, $193 million doled out to Fisker Automotive (with another $336 million canceled), and $132 million to A123 Systems (a failed battery maker).

Undaunted, the Biden Administration’s $2.3 trillion “jobs” package was rife with more subsidies for technologies that by their own admission are unsustainable. Yet despite all the free money, Ford, General Motors, and many other automakers are backing away from multibillion-dollar investments in new EV factories as new EV sales have slowed despite increased rebates.

Ford in March projected a loss of $3 billion on electric vehicles in 2023, offsetting profits of as much as $14 billion from its other divisions. Ford also admitted losses of $900 million in 2021 and $2.1 billion in 2022 in its EV division.

Biden’s reliance on huge subsidies to underwrite the “Green Revolution” has brought soaring inflation to the U.S. that is taking away purchasing power faster than it can increase subsidies and Mafia-style “incentives” (you will buy what we want you to buy, or else!).

The green war on fossil fuels, as fleshed out in the “Net Zero” campaign, is perhaps history’s greatest example of philosophical fraud.

“To dream the impossible dream” and turn it into reality would mean sacrificing an estimated 6,000 useful products that rely on byproducts from crude oil refineries – products that range from asphalt for highways to fertilizers, cosmetics, synthetic rubber, medicines and medical devices, cleaning products, plastics, so many more. The 3 billion who live without the benefits fossil fuels have provided are also the poorest, sickest, and most vulnerable humans on the planet. ——————

Thats it….if the voters here haven’t figured it out that the Dem party is not the same party of 30 years ago. It has been corrupted by the Soros sponsored special interests that combined are driving us down the tubes…and someReps are letting them do it.

God bless America…lets hope our voter base sees the light.

You can easily look up the testimony of the experts in the fraud case Trump LOST. He inflated his wealth and property values for personally backed loans and cheated banks out of +$150 million in interest along with insurers that back him. I'm guessing with the personal backed loans the banks relied on his statement of wealth and value. Trump also got caught overvaluing for loans and devaluing for taxes for the same exact property in the same year and the differences were wide. The losses in loan interest defrauded the banks and the loss in taxes defrauded the government. I'm not a banker or finance person so if you want to debate that contact the court where Trump was found GUILTY/liable.

So because Trump lied on his financial statements and didn't default what's the harm. That's your point. Why don't you try robbing a bank then the following year take it back. I'm sure they will say no harm no foul. Or how about this one...you drink and drive home from the bar and get pulled over in front of your house. You didn't kill anyone so what's the harm. No harm no foul right? What a dumb ass question. Because you commit a crime or defraud someone and get away with it doesn't make it Ok.

What's the next excuse Ricky? They all do it so it's ok?

But personally screw all that anyway. Trump was found guilty of defrauding the bank's. He can appeal the decision. Let the constitutional process play itself out in court. Oh I forgot that Trumpers are only for the constitution and the law when it works for them or their cult god.

nice try but you still didnt answer my question.

regarding the banks...

"did they not do their due diligence before granting a loan?"

its been a while since i borrowed any money but every time i did...i had to provide actual proof of income and assets. has that changed? did the bank claim they were harmed in any way?

"does the state not have tax assessors that are paid to perform valuations on property?"

like i said...ive owned many properties over the years and never once did the taxing authorities ask me what i thought my property was worth when it came time to assess the taxable value.

is the tish james going to go after the tax assessor for dereliction of duty? after all...if what you are saying is true...did they not fail in their duties? wasnt it the assessor that screwed the taxpayers of ny?

furthermore...is every other real estate developer in ny held to the same standard as the one trump is being held to?

yes...trump has been found liable...not by a jury...but by a partisan judge. we'll see how long that ruling lasts.

"You don't like my jokes...sue me snowflake."

i couldnt care less about your humor. it is not a reflection on or a harm to me in any way. thats on you. what it does do is show how much of a bigot and hypocrite you are. to the transgender community, the word "tranny" is no different than what the word "faggot" is to the gay community or what the "n word" is to the black community.

wheres your "humanity"..."bigot?"

“ I'm guessing with the personal backed loans the banks relied on his statement of wealth and value.”

Sounds like negligence on the banks part. Deutsche Bank doesn’t have the cleanest record in town. I can’t help but wonder what they were trying to gain by “trusting trumps self evaluation”.

I know, it sounds silly right? After all, banks are 100% trustworthy and never have a reason to manipulate certain transactions that work in their favor.

If you buy a lemon from the car lot, is it their fault for selling you a lemon, or is it your fault for not doing your due diligence to ensure you’re getting a fair deal?

"Ricky, are we supposed to believe that you CARE about their feelings? After 100 anti-trans posts in one thread? Give us a f*ing break..."

whether i care or not is irrelevant. im not the one accusing others of being a bigot and lacking humanity...and then turning around and saying bigoted things. those were ksflatlanders terms...not mine. i only bring them up to illustrate his glaring hypocrisy.

having said that actually i do care...to the extent that I would care about anyone suffering from any other mental disorder. you seem to have a strange definition of "anti-trans." my thoughts on the trans situation are not unlike yours...are you "anti-trans" also?

Ricky, I'm 'live and let live. You are clearly (100+posts) *obsessed* with trans in sports, as if it's on par with the war in Ukraine.

I *wish* you were simply bigoted on the subject, you probably would have gotten bored with it by now >;-)

As a CPA that worked for a public accounting firm specializing in NYC real estate there isn't a bank out there that lends money without doing their own valuation. There is a reason why the banks aren't jumping into this case and that is because they have everything documented in their own files why they lent Trump the money and every other client they have did the same thing Trump did to a lesser extent. Trump's disclaimer that is attached says that the valuation is an estimate. NYC real estate is rife with illusion. if you go to rent a 30,000 square foot space that takes up a whole floor you would think you would be getting 30,000 square feet and you would be wrong! There is a "loss factor" added into that calculation and it keeps getting larger. Back in 2005 it was 25%. In 2011 it was 27% and I have no idea what it is now. So if you take that advertised 30,000 square foot floor it really measures only 21,900 square feet. Why isn't Letticia going after NYC landlords for fraud?

anyone with half a brain...or an ounce of honesty...knows the answer to that question.

“Quiz on current events - Does ‘Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly’ refer to SpaceX's latest failure, or Congress?”

The latest SpaceX failure wasn’t exactly a failure. It was simply another small step for man, on its way to becoming another giant leap for mankind. They’ll work out the bugs and eventually succeed with great strides.

Congress, on the other hand? They’ll still be hot mess when SpaceX is finally making regular commuter flights to Mars and back.

Hmmm...it appears that the NY AG office has brought many cases under executive law § 63(12) since it was enacted in the 1950's. I also believe the current AGs office has brought other cases under executive law § 63(12).

It appears that someone here is talking out of the wrong orifice...again. Dang, that water has to be getting heavier by the day.

" I also believe the current AGs office has brought other cases under executive law § 63(12)."

speaking of the "wrong orifice" are you really comparing what trump is accused of...with literally no victim... with price gouging on disinfectant during a pandemic?

with a reach like that, you make gumby look like a freaking t-rex.

oh...and by the way...the case you linked was dismissed in its entirety...

" On September 22, The New York Supreme Court in Manhattan dismissed in its entirety price gouging claims brought by the office of Letitia James, the New York State Attorney General, against Quality King Distributors, Inc. and its CEO, Glenn Nussdorf. The court absolved Glenn Nussdorf and Quality King of any wrongdoing, concluding that the parties did not violate the price gouging statute. Ruling from the bench, Judge Rakower stated "I do not find Quality King unconscionably raised its prices." Moreover, the court found that the Attorney General had not provided any evidence to support its allegation that Glenn Nussdorf had violated the price gouging statute."

i suspect that is exactly what is eventually going to happen with her case against trump. but by that time...hopefully for tish anyway...it will have achieved its goal.

"orifice"...insert head.

"Trump’s claim that statute 63(12) has “never been used before” is false, with the New York AG using the law to bring lawsuits against such parties as a leasing company, e-cigarette company JUUL Labs and a predatory lender company. The Trump Organization case isn’t even the first time 63(12) has been used against Trump and his businesses, as former AG Eric Schneiderman previously sued Trump University under the statute, which resulted in a $25 million settlement in 2018."

Hmmm, I thought we're talking about other cases brought under 63(12). I guess when you scapegoat your personal fix-it attorney and they testify under oath in congress...AGs actually listen.

You carry too much water you might drown...Trumper.

Wrong again Ricky

"Hmmm, I thought we're talking about other cases brought under 63(12)."

oh...and here i thought you were talking about the case you chose to highlight in your attached link. you know...the one that was nowhere close the trump case...and dismissed in its entirety. i guess thats the one you thought would really make your point.

if anything...you successfully highlighted tishs propensity to bring cases that will eventually be dismissed.

nice work ...lol

same to you and yours...but what fun would that be?

besides...thats one of the things we are thankful for...the freedom to discuss anything we choose...including politics...even (especially) if everyone doesnt agree.

if we ever lose that...were screwed.
