Anyone use heated jackets for cold days on stand (or blind)?
Your thoughts?
I use a vest, but it is a GAME CHANGER! Gonna try the glove liners next................
I have a heated vest and it is awesome. Very little bulk for the warmth it provides.
Same here. I bought a vest last year. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.
Can you folks provide me a link to the ones you have

Thanks. Thats the one I've been considering.
Heated vest is a game changer no doubt. Love mine.
Heater Body Suit. Game changer!!
I've used a heated jacked for the past two seasons. Worked great while the battery lasts. Once the battery dies your in trouble because the jacket is light weight. I bought a backup battery but if you like to hunt from dawn to dark you may have to buy two back-up batters,,,
I have the Ororo as well. It’s the bomb. Vest is actually super warm even when not turned on. Only wish was that it didn’t have nylon exterior or whatever that is. But if it’s under a thicker layer it’s quiet anyways
The ororo is what I have also. I normal hunt 3 to 4 hours and 1 battery has worked for me.
I have the Millwaukee vest. I bought a larger battery rather than carrying two small ones for an all day sit.
I have the AIMINTSEN brand off of Amazon and really like the material... very thin vs bulky fleece

I have had a Heatoo vest for a couple years now and really like it. It has 3 different heat settings and I haven't had any trouble with battery life although admittedly I haven't had to have it on high all day. I usually turn it on medium or low until I warm up and then turn it off. Plus, as mentioned above, I think it is a warm piece without even turning it on.
I think from what I've read they are all fairly similar. The one tip I will give is to get it as a snug fit, it will work best if it is close to your skin. I wear mine over an Under Armour type shirt and then layer over it. Layering over it also quiets the noise of the vests outer fabric in my experience.
Best of luck and stay warm and safe!
I have the Ororo fleece vest, turn it on as I am cooling down from my hike into the stand and turn it off after the sun comes up. Turn it back when the sun gets low in the sky in the afternoon.

My son and I have the Ororo and we love them. Haven’t actually used it for hunting yet, but they work very well for many other situations.
Ororo here as well. The heat on the neck is just the best!

I have the Pnuma Heated vest,Worn right over your base layer , I love it , 2 of my brothers now have them as well as my daughter ( Pnuma Outdoors )
Huge Pnuma fan here. Don’t hunt the late season without it. I have the vest and long Johns. Good stuff.

If you hunt mornings and afternoons, does the battery recharge quickly enough?
I have the ororo as well and my only complaint is same as Ambush. It is a little loud when you move your head and your skin scrapes against the collar, but as far as I know it’s never cost me a deer. Love the fact that it can help limit the layering
You guys gotta shave your necks! Guess we need another manscaping thread! ;-)
Dana- I never have to use mine more than 3-4 hrs and never on high. No problem charging between morning and afternoon.
One thing to remember is ONLY wear a THIN silk or synthetic base layer under it. NO thick or insulated base layer. I made that mistake first time I wore it and couldn’t feel the heat much.
Saved my hunt a few times when it got windy and I misjudged the temp.
I wear it almost every hunt unless it is hot and only use it about half the time. Like others have said it’s warm even without turning on.
I do have a backup battery now so I always have one charged up. (And a safety in case I forget to charge after the hunt)
I’m a huge sissy when it comes to cold! I have a Gerbing vest. It works OK, it seems kinda bulky to me. I much prefer my Pnuma. It is super thin, wear right over my base layers, puts the heat right on me. I can wear whatever clothes I want over it and bull up or keep the bulk down. Battery life is acceptable, what I expected (4hr ish). I do think the heated neck on those look very nice, but to me the slim versatile Pnuma is the only way to go.

Are these things rechargeable or disposable batteries? Battery charge life?
Rechargable. Like 3 hrs on high, 6 on medium and10 on low. Or something like that.
The Foxelli heated vest sold on Amazon is almost TOO WARM. It's a bit puffier than most and can wear nothing but a base layer and that under whatever jacket the conditions dictate. I also added wireless rechargeable handwarmers to my arsenal this year.
Your welcome fuzzy.
One of the best hunting purchases ever...................
Rut Nut how do sizes run? If I normally wear a 2x over long johns and sweater same with vest ?
Jack… where did you find the rechargeable hand warmers, and how long does a set last?
I don’t know what Jack has specifically, but tons of rechargeable hand warmers on Amazon in the $20-30 range.

Fuzzy- you might want to get a size smaller since you will be wearing a thinner shirt under it. You want it as close to the skin as possible so you can feel the heat.

Pnuma fan also. I have the vest and long Johns.
Bought these glove liners off of Amazon & like them. They aren't much by themselves but with Alpaca wool gloves over them they are great so far.
Extra batteries for everything!
I have a black Ororo fleece vest that is great as a stand alone vest or super with the heat on medium. Have never used it on high don’t need it. Wear it over my base layer when I want to use the heat.
I don't understand. I thought animals can sense our EMF. Is everyone here wearing like a double layer of Hecs? How can anyone be hunting with such devices...
I bought my wife a heated jacket last year for hockey games etc. Best money I have spent for a long time...
I have thought about a heated Jacket. Does anyone know of a jacket that could use my Dewalt batteries for power? I use them for lights and a host of other items. I have multiple batteries and think that they would provide a great source of energy...
Pnuma fan also.
Silk base, Pnuma, then mid or heavy wool layer, then Kuiu Proximity this year.
Always 4 batteries on hand and then I’m covered for a full day in low.
Pnuma guy also. I like to put it on all the time "just in case" I get chilly. It's a great thing to have on those cold evenings or chilly mornings if you don't want to "bulk up" too much. 3 batteries for mine... one in each pocket and one spare charging at home. You don't even know you have it on until you turn it on.
I do like that the Pnuma is more of a base layer. I may have to get one but it's hard to beat that neck warmth from my Ororo.
Just got an email from FedEx that mine is on the front porch. I went with Fieldsheer brand
