No eyewitness but evidence points to elk, a spilled pail of corn was also at the scene, feedng wild elk during rut not a good idea , well anytime for that matter.

“feedng wild elk during rut not a good idea , well anytime for that matter.”

But wait, how can this be?…Disney teaches us that they are cute and cuddly, and they purrrrr when you pet them!?

I'm like fuzzy, sounds suspicious...

One clue - The elk would have eaten the spilled corn...

This place cracks me up…..armchair ‘detectives’ who have no training or experience in death investigations, but believe they know more than the trained investigators that processed the scene. :)

With regards to the spilled corn maybe it was a reward?

I apologize if my dark humor is offensive. I am certainly not without empathy for the woman or her husband. What an odd and unfortunate way to go.

Bless her. I wish one would try to kill me.

Another victim that’s watched too many Disney films where they have names for the animals. We have in Ca people feeding coyotes and bears from there homes. There are more coyote attacks in SoCal than any place in the country and there’s people that think they’re adorable. Lake Tahoe is loaded with bears and nuts that want to treat them like they are Yogi and BooBoo. Sad that the lady had to die to learn but nature’s a tuff teacher.
