Plans to introduce wolves in Colorado. I don't know if this had already been posted but I thought it was an interesting article.
"Colorado voters barely approved the wolves' reintroduction, and the law received most of its support from liberal urban residents living far from where the wolves will be released."
Liberal urban residents are a big problem all over the country.
If 200 wolves in Colorado was the population limit and hunting was allowed to keep them at that limit, as in the three states north of us, I might expect that most might be ok with them in Colorado. BUT that is not the case, there is NO LIMIT to the Colorado Wolf population as the Gray Wolf is defined in the Ballot Imitative as a Non Game Animal, not to be managed or hunted so the population can be as high as allowed by the environment and prey species, and public tolerance.
Hunters who vote liberal are extremely concerning. If hunters do not want to protect hunting, why would we expect non hunting voters to support us ?
I knew Orion's post would soon follow MissouriBreaks'.
But you guys are delusional at best. I keep telling myself not to argue with morons, but it's hard to let their idiotic posts stand unchallenged.
From another of Orion's imbecile posts on the CO site. "I find it funny it (sic) post pictures of your wife's mountain lion and then vote for the exact people who are getting rid of it."
The cougar petition is a citizen's petition. I didn't know people had to be voted in to Colorado before they can move here. AND, that I had the soul vote.
The same with MissouriBreaks' post. Wolf introduction was voted on by citizens, not introduced by any voted in official.
I certainly don't like it, but unlike MAGA cult members, I will uphold the Constitution and rule of law, and resist them within that framework. If you don't like it, work and spend to change it, instead of arbitrarily blaming someone you don't know. If I had a magic wand I'd get rid of the far left AND the MAGA party, and get back to trying to solve problems and governing.
I did not accuse any single individual of standing alongside PETA, HSUS and the ASPCA and supporting the current antihunting administration. Some of you obviously must have but you can identify yourselves. Obviously I was correct.
I don't normally advocate breaking the law but S.S.S. on wolves
There is legal…. which is based on politics, and then there’s ethical which is based on common sense backed by facts. Do the right thing people! There is no turning back.
The amount of Statewide activity required to do the "right" thing effectively would make the third "S" likely unsuccessful.
It would be pretty funny if all the introduced wolves kept dying of disease and starvation so the wolfers could be accused of murdering them.
Disease? Like lead poisoning.
I’ll just take a minute here to say this. I have nothing against a wolf. He is just being a wolf doing what wolves do. No intent to harm us or our privilege to hunt.
Unfortunately he has been put in harms way by the people who say they care about wildlife. If I had my choice, there would be an open season on those people. However, since there isn’t, the wolves, like hunters, will have to pay the price. In the end the only winners are the anti-hunters. What a terrible situation.
This thread is typical, but all too common. It's too little, WAY too late. The time and place to have stopped this was at the ballot box. Maybe you all should be proposing possible successful strategies to keep cougar hunting, and how to fund them. Maybe demographics have changed, but in rough numbers, there are about as many hunters as anti-hunters. The largest 'pool' are non-hunters. They are the ones who will decide this, and they will be swayed by the most persuasive arguments they see most often. You don't even have to guess which side that will be. Just look back at history.
You mean Mule Power's tough guy comments advocating for killing people and poaching on a public forum aren't persuasive and winning arguments? Go figure...
Or you advocating standing by and watching terrorists eliminate hunting? I thought you moved to Russia???
I don’t know if I actually advocated killing people but I’d love to sit and watch you run your liberal mouth in a bar in wolf country instead of just on the internet. Maybe if you wear a radio collar the locals will be afraid to SSS.
Once the wolves are there the argument has been lost Einstein.
