Trophy room

I had asked advice for building a trophy room a few years ago and got a lot of good ideas. I tried find that thread to add pictures of the (almost) finished project, but the search function, well we know. So I thought I would put some pictures up and mention some things that helped me and may help others as they start to build their own.
I put 3/4 plywood over the studs so I can put screws in anywhere and that was a huge deal. Cost a bit but worth it in the end.
I ended up making a small workshop room where I can keep all my hunting and fishing supplies as well as have a workbench. Helped contain the clutter.
I had a pony wall around the outside walls that leaves a ledge half way up. That is nice in some ways because you can put stuff on it, but also limits how much wall space you have. I ended up building a wall in front of it about half way around to get around this and it worked well.
I also put two small half walls as you enter. This decreases the wall space , but it opened the area up.

This barnwood was taken off my grandparents first house they lived in. Liked the look enough that we went back and did the other wall as well.

Note that these heads are a mix of bow/rifle/deadheads. Some are mine, some are my fathers. Still have a funky non typical to add, a head with a blob drop on one side and waiting for my cougar to show up.
Awesome trophy room! Wow! That is a stud behind the bar!
Very well done, great job!! I like the layout. Mounts are great too. That owl is cool!!
Looks great! I like the old wood
That's not a trophy room that's a trophy basement! Looks incredible!
Very nice… curious is there a bottle of Tito’s at the bar?
Looks awesome Jamie! You gave me some ideas…currently working on my basement now…lotsa work!
You've done great with that project! The owl is cool! And you've shot more droptine bucks than I've personally seen in my lifetime.
Thanks guys, I am happy with how it turned out. Love watching the game while playing pool with my boys and looking at all the memories.

Not familiar with Tito's, but may need to look it up. Though it doesn't look like it, I don't really drink much, lol. We won a liquor wheelbarrow and it had 35 bottles of booze in it.
There are two owls in the pictures. Permits weren't too bad to get done, but took a little while. I will post a better picture of the short ear owl.
I only shot the one drop tine buck - the triple drop tine behind the bar, when I was 15. The one on the left was found on a lake by my brother and I found the really old funky one in my Grandpas pig barn. Both of those are double drop tines.
Impressive Drop tine, very nice... Wish my house was that clean...
Yeah, that's heck of a droptine buck, congrats...
Lots of stories in those room's, looks great!
Looks great. Really Bice job of blending new and old materials. Also good spacing of the animals so they don't blend together.

Still trying to figure out why you chose “Drop tine” as your handle;-)
Very impressive in all aspects, Jamie! Some beautiful trophies and an excellent job on the trophy room, as well!
Man that is beautiful. Congratulations.
Loving the barnwood wall. Very well done!
I moved into an existing home that was fully furnished. Would love to have the plywood behind the drywall.
Have to strategically place and hang heads accordingly to studs. Kinda blows
That's an amazing space Drop Tine. many great animals too. But damn, that Perch! Looks like it's close to 15 inches. That is a really, really nice perch!
Looks awesome! Well done and congratulations!!!
Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing that with us. I bet it's a great place to hang and swap stories.
stunning!! would love to play pool down there surrounded by those amazing trophies!!
As others have said - looks outstanding!!! Very tastefully done.
That turned out very nice indeed.
Good luck, Robb
