2024 is about to kick off at Carswell Lake Outfitters. This is formally Lone Wolf Camps. Brian retired and the boys bought the business and are currently expanding into new virgin lands. Can’t wait to drop the pics here for you guys. Good luck everyone!

How is the road from La Loche to camp?
I'll be there the 2nd week in June. Really looking forward to it.
Road is good! Lots more exploring going on and they maintain it . Still have to take your time and not drive 70mph.

Well last week we had a group of ten hunters come to camp that included some young first time bear hunters. And amazingly they all were finshed by day two!! 8 P&Y bears and three of those scoring over 20” P&Y Congratulations to all! So great to see young hunters in camp! They’re hooked now!

The last two weeks. 13 bears and they all scored over P&Y . With 10 of the 13 scoring 19-20+”!
Some fantastic BIG bears! Is it a big, wilderness area? Do you move around to new baits or these are killed on long term established baits? Just curious
Hey Mike The boys bought out their dad and are pushing i to new virgin lands but they have established baits 25 years old at least. Those just produce year after year. Just a huge remote area with no other outfitters. I first went in 2003 and the camp Average was 19.3 and it stays mid 19’s year after year. The Saskatchewan one bear limit also keeps numbers up.
Well the season is finally come to an end at Carswell Lake Outfitters! The last two weeks had three hunters each. All shot P&Y bears. Four of the Six were 19-21” Some great fishing also for the hunters!
Thanks to everyone at Carswell Lake Camps for all the hard work on another successful season! All that hard work makes this the #1 black bear camp in North America year after year!!
53 total hunters 47 bears taken by those hunters.
Unfortunately 6 hunters wounded bears.
43 of the 47 were green score bears over 18” P&Y.
32 of those bears green scored 19-21”. That amazing!
4 sows under 18” were shot.
Camp Average was 19.2” P&Y!!!
