Grandfather & Grandson do Africa. Gene from Kansas brought his grandson over for his first safari and had a blast, literally…

We are hunting big water today where buffalo frequent and have seen tons of game, like this young Kudu bull.
From: Ken Moody Safaris
11-May-24
This big Kudu came in by the ground blind on the opposite side.

Six Buffalo bulls came in as well, but all too young. This one is 7 and needs one to two more years. Poor photo quality given the direct sunlight I was shooting into.

ken, thanks for sharing.
what is done with all the meat? is it used in camp or do the locals take it? also, can you eat zebra? any good?
From: Ken Moody Safaris

We use in camp, donate some to two local schools and sell the rest.

Quick recovery this morning. 100 yards and stone dead. The Iron Will Buff Head is a great design and broadhead for buffalo. Chris from WV is a very happy man!

For the finale, Chris stalked a giraffe and made a great shot, dropping the beast in less than a hundred yards.

Day 3 of a 7 day safari ended with a few quality encounters but no buff in the salt. Hunting them in the high grass is both challenging and frustrating.
