'morning All,

I spent last week up in wet and wild Wyoming!

Fun times, I did some digi-scoping, stumbled upon some elk sheds over my days hiking and spent some time with local friends.

Thanks for taking the time to view All.

#Lovin'Life,

Robb

Most every afternoon, boy did it downpour.

Made for some gooey and mucky hiking the next morning.

I bought a new digi-scoping set-up and am really getting better with it the more I use it. See my link above for more info and links to see it.

These elk are about 3/4 of a mile away

I have learned it is easier to put my phone on and then look thru it instead of using the viewfinder on my spotting scope and then putting the phone on.

I use my bino's, like most everyone else to find the elk and then just look thru my phone/Magview set-up and go from there. up to 60 power.

Once focused @ 60 power, I use my Zoom on my iPhone to start bringing them in close.

All cows and yearling calves, no calf's or any Velvet seen the whole trip.

Almost max Zoom @ 60 power.

At max Zoom on phone and spotting scope, about 0830 in the morning, I was getting some heatwave blurring.

Maybe 30--35 degrees.

Some of you may remember the thread I did on a Yeti Wheel kit.

It worked great on my 45 quart on this trip.

That wraps it up for this early AM.

Off to the gym and then get a good hike in for sure.

Thanks again for taking the time to view,

Robb

BULELK1, Seems like it was a better winter for the animals up there than the one before. Is that what you are finding out? Stay dry, Badbull

True, not hardly any dead winter kill like last year's thread. Certainly, less deep snow too.

It got so gooey and mucky that my boots looked like I was wearing those racing snowshoes!

I didn't want to blow a knee or anything, so I started to get off the game trail and bushwack thru the sagebrush ect. not as mucky but I was drenched from the thighs down form all the rain still on the brush.

I'm going along and see an elk shed, WoW, so I picked it up and used it for a walking stick.

I crest the last ridge and can see my truck, it's the steep down now so I'm slowly going and no way another shed.

They aren't matching but similar.

Pretty dang heavy.

I get to my truck and take a pic.

I think we men all have some Redneck in us so when I hit the paved road I pull into a pullout and bungy cord one shed to 1 side of my roof rack and the other shed on the other side.

I get into Afton and am getting plenty of pointing fingers ect. I stop @ Gardners Gas station, and go inside just for the heck of it, and I draw a crowd around my truck.

I decide what the hey, 10 miles to Thane, go for it.

Same gig, pull into the Maverick G-station and go inside, plenty of attention around my truck.

I go out and some gal says her brother has been shed hunting and hasn't found anything and axe me where I found those.

I told her No Tell'em Ridge------she finally caught it and just started laughing.

Now home, I can't decide if I want to display 'em on the floor in front or hang down from the ceiling------
