Got back from clearing all the blow downs off the trails from 15 of the 21 set-ups. Lots of moose sign. No pressure for guiding a group of 3 bowhunters with 3 bull tags to fill. Going to see if I can get them to fill all 3 in a week. No pressure....

Congrats on getting your 3 hunters their bull moose. The corn pollen must have made it your way. Were the two moose that were shot a minute apart shot on the same morning?

Yes...we had 4 bulls coming to the second set of calls on the morning of day the first shooter passed on the 37" bull. It came to within 10 yards of where I last called. Bur I snuck out and got the 2nd shooter from his spot and moved him down the trail to where he got a 8 yard shot at it. It ran off towards the boats and died 20 yards from the boats. When this bull went crashing through the woods the 41" bull came in charging in front of the 1st shooter who grunted at it 3 times to get the bull to stop 22 yards broadside. When I heard him shoot I started calling and it came charging towards me (10 yards) stopped and the 2nd shooter got a shot off at it also. It ran back towards he 1st shooter who got off his 2nd arrow. All 3 arrows killed it...but it ran off another 100 yards and died. So it was a 200 yard pack out. The 37" was n easy pack out to the boat. Both moose were on the plane by 3 pm.
