Just had a negative encounter with Sitka customer service and was wondering if this was a one off or have other hunters had the same type of experience that I have had? I placed an order with Sitka back in November for a Sitka tool bucket backpack as a Christmas gift. After 2 weeks I got a tracking number but when I looked at the statis it showed waiting pickup by shipper at warehouse. I reached out to customer service by email and was told that it was going to be shipped in the next few days. Needless to say, i keep reaching out to the same person up until Christmas and was told the same thing every time with no package received. I reached out a few days ago and ask if they even had the pack at their warehouse and was told that your tracking number shows delivered and if I did not have the item report it stolen to the police and contact the carrier. I took this as screw off and stop asking questions especially since the tracking number showed me it was still waiting pick up at the warehouse. I did make a phone call that day and after a long wait time I got to talk to a live person that said we are out of stock so here is your refund. Wish I was told the truth the first time and it would have saved a lot of frustration.

Over about the last year, I have sent a rain jacket and pants back for warranty work since they were leaking.
Communication was great and both products were replaced with no questions asked. Which I was shocked by considering how old they were and replaced with the newer models.
Just reached out to them last week as the pull tabs for the zippers on the rain jackets came off. They said they would mail me new ones, so just waiting.
So I guess my experience has been good.

Just guessing but... they may have back-ordered it internally and assumed it would be available for shipment. So they generated shipping info. Then it didn't get built for 'reasons'.
(I was a shipping worker in a previous life, seen stuff like this happen. Sucks to be on the short end of it.)

I've had issues before with email notifications on shipping. Usually no notification but the box shows up in a few days.

I’ve always had stellar experiences with Sitka customer service. I’d say this is a very unusual circumstance. I’ve had stuff ship in an order separately because of availability but nothing like this. I would call them back and explain what you are seeing on your end.
