Canadian Black Bear I shot in 2003 with My Fred Bear T/D Recurve at 13 Yds. I was positioned on the ground when one Bear came in to the bait and from behind, another Bear snuck up on me at 8 yds. I was trapped between the two. The larger bear (a Big one) stopped behind me as I turned to see him. He backed up snorted and ran off giving me a chance to arrow this one. I had a standing shot but upon release the bear moved and the arrow struck him in the neck. My guide and I had to track this bear thru the evening and come back in the AM when we finally found him at the bottom of a creek bed half eaten by, we think, the one that got away.
