It had been a quiet morning since sunup. Then at about 10:15 the buck came in from the brushy draw off to my right. He stopped at around 15 yards but was quartering to me. He eventually started circling around my stand to the right. When he got behind a cedar tree behind my stand I finally was able to stand and get ready for the shot. I got ready and when he came into the open at 18 yards he stopped. I made the shot. I recovered him after about a 175 yards blood trail.
