My brother and I had just split off from my dad as we tried to flank a herd of elk we had been working all morning. we were in a spike or cow only area. After several close calls we finally called this little bull (no antlers)and two cows into range. I hate to admit it but I actually shot at the lead cow. My arrow glanced off a small branch and struck this little guy in the head. Luckily I was shooting Thunderheads and the elk only went about 75 yards before expiring. We figure he was a late calf from last year and thats why he didn't have antlers this year. Either way he tastes great! Details about Chad Doyle 's huntHunt DetailsDate Killed - 09/01/2001
