I had a few days remaining on my elk hunt so I was able to go after mule deer. I spotted a group of bucks heading towards an oat field and was able to close the distance. 7 bucks in the group with a big p/y 4x4. I snuck behind a haybale stack but was spotted by one of the bucks. I shot what I thought was the big buck but actually shot the second biggest buck in the group (the big guy turned out to be right behind my buck but couldn't see him due to the hay piles)
