First hour of first morning of a caribou hunt, I spot this guy about 3/4 mile away on the opposite side of a lake eating blueberries. Split with my partner and went after him. An hour or so later I had stalked to 20 yards, but still had no shot. 10 minutes later he took a few steps towards me out of the low spot, turned away from me, and offered a perfect broadside at 15 yards.
