Finally, got out of work early to get out in the woods was set up in East Haddam by 3:45pm saw 4 does. Took a small one at 25 yards, had to shoot from my bad side of the stand and ended up hitting a little back. I caught the diaphragm and liver; she went 100 yards, recovery 30min later. Not the biggest one, but it helps to get the first one out of the way. (Replacement tag coming)
