Had a big herd going nuts in front of me from 40 to 200 yards out--only barely legal bulls in that bunch. This bull starts coming in alone, bugling, from behind me. Had the binos on him as he steppeed out from a cedar 40 yards away and as I saw the nice fronts and big thirds come into view, switched to rangefinder, and made the shot when he stopped a few steps later. OTC Colorado, so was not waiting for a 'big bull' just filling the freezer.
