saw this buck earlier in afternoon , he had his nose down and looking for does, when he dissapeared I thought my chances did also. The entire season was not going well for me, I had just hung this stand that morning and next morning was headed home. Well we had a short snow squall which helped seeing this guy comeing up from the bottom of drainage, he was headed straight for me this time, he held up at 30 yards and stood like a statue facing me , I drew and held for as long as I could , his eyes were on 4 doe about 8 yards from my stand, I took a quick peak at them they were about to blow the only shot I had.Just as I was re aiming on the buck they blew and caused me to release my arrow. I knew I hit him but not sure where so I backed out. In the morning I called afriend for help, he didnt have much time to help but im glad he did, Some fresh snow covered his tracks and made for a very intence, gut wrenching track. After about 400 yards of trailing through some thick cover litered with many other tracks I spoted him where he had laid down the night before, snow on his back and head camoflauged him against a large downed tree, VERY EXCITED hugs around Details about Frank Staropoli 's huntHunt DetailsDate Killed - 10/27/2009
