I followed the bull and his cows up the mountain but did not call. Finally got to about where we were at timber line when the cows tracked past me and I was almost between the bull and his cows. He bugled from just over a small ridge (out of sight) so I responded once - the only sound I made. He came immediately to cut me off from the cows and stopped at about 35 yards. My shot was a bit too far back so it took awhile but after a long blood trail I found him. His main beam is busted off between 4 and 5. Accounting for the missing parts he is in the 315 range.
