Late in the first day of the hunt, I had a group of 12 hens, plus some toms and jakes come out of the ravine in front of me, on the way to roost behind me. Once they caught sight of my decoys, two toms came strutting in, shoulder to shoulder. As they posted up over my DSD Jake decoy, I shot the one with the best angle, dropping him on the spot. The other stood there, momentarily bewildered, nearly giving me a shot at him as well.
