The last bear hunt I went on was back in 2006 and shot a great bear with my recurve bow, scoring 18 6/8 P&Y. Finally, after pursuing other big game, I decided it was time to go bear hunting again. It didn't take long...shot this guy on the first day of my five day Manitoba hunt with Desjardins & MacCarthy outfitters. He weighed in at 345 pounds. I'll definitely have to go again as my wife wanted me to shoot a blonde phase bear...easier said than done.
