I had a bear and caribou permit. My guide had spotted a bear and we were on a lookout trying to find it when this stag walked 300 yards in front of us. I tried to ambush at a pond but he went around the other side. My guide tried the white tee shirt technique to draw it in but the stag glanced at it and kept walking. I took off after it following it across a bog and finally caught up to it at large creek. The stag gave me a broadside opportunity as it walked along the creek. Stag scores 320 2/8, well worth the extra effort.
